A coalition of local Latino elected officials and leaders said Monday they are organizing a protest to counter Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's appearance at the University of Illinois at Chicago on Friday, while university faculty and students are objecting as well.

Surrounded by supporters and local aldermen, Democratic U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Chicago said that the leaders are asking constituents to show up outside UIC Pavilion doors to express their opposition to Trump's candidacy.

I think the news coverage of the leftist protest of Trump's Chicago rally last night has failed to convey just how planned and organized it was. Latino leaders, some Chicago aldermen and University of Illinois at Chicago officials were all involved in organizing and/or encouraging the protest that denied Donald Trump and his supporters their right to gather and hold a political event.

A lot has been said about BLM, who seemed to be represented inside the venue, but the large crowds outside seem to have been U of IC students who support Bernie, Latinos with a few Mexican flags and just a general crowd of protesters. And then there was some moveon.org involvement. Many leftists involved in staging what happened last night.

The only way to stoop it now is Trump people to take down a sanders rally or two.

Brownshirts are always so proud about shouting down political opposition. Then they call the victims of their shout down nazis.

I’m not in favor of doing that to them.

We hold the moral high ground.

I’m not a bad or violent person but unfortunately as we saw last night, there are people in this country who don’t respect others.

We must defend ourselves when necessary and face them down with our resolve - and our vote.

We can win when we do.

The planned and organized protest was reported in Chicago news media for days prior to yesterday.

Trump Protesters Plan UIC Rally Takeover: ‘Strength Will Lie in Numbers’
By Stephanie Lulay | March 7, 2016 2:59pm

U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez and other Latino leaders will protest Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rally at UIC Pavilion on Friday. Thousands have RSVPed to a protest on Facebook.

CHICAGO — Last week, Donald Trump said he was looking forward to his Friday rally in Chicago. But he may not get the warmest welcome if protesters have their way.

Following news of his rally last week, protesters started mobilizing. First, a Facebook event popped up and immediately had thousands of RSVPs. Organizers told those opposed to the GOP presidential frontrunner to show up at the UIC Pavilion, 525 S. Racine Ave., Friday and not only protest outside — but snag tickets and get inside.

In other cities, protesters have encountered violence at Trump rallies. But Chicago organizers hope a massive turnout will prevent this from happening:

Trump has been known to provoke and encourage violence towards protesters in the past. Past protests have seen individuals be spit on, kicked, hit, shoved, and assaulted in various other ways. With that being said, our strength will lie both in our numbers and our ability to show these Trump supporters a higher class of behavior. We do not condone and will condemn any physical contact with supporters attending the rally; please keep your hands and items to yourself. Our goal must be to show the attendees the empathy, acceptance, and love that we strive to see in the world. Keep any signs and chants aimed at Trump and his campaign, instead of individual supporters.

As of Monday morning, nearly 8,000 people vowed to show up to the event (though Facebook RSVPs for such events are typically higher than actual turnout). The stadium can hold up to 10,000 people, depending on how its configured, according to the UIC Pavilion website.

But a petition to cancel the rally altogether has even more support: 42,626 people have asked the University of Illinois at Chicago and the director of the Pavilion to cancel the event.

“Donald Trump is running on a platform of hate and dangerous intolerance,” petitioner Jorge Mena Robles wrote. “It has no place in Chicago but especially not at an institution of higher learning.”

Doug Ibendahl, an attorney and editor of Republican News Watch, said Trump has been breaking attendance records at venues across the nation, and he expects the candidate’s appearance at UIC Friday to be no different.

While some Trump haters plan to register for the event and not show up, because there are no reserve seats, Ibendahl said they are “wasting their time.”

“You gotta get there early. Thousands of people [won’t be able] to get in,” he said, whether they registered or not. “Protesters get in at every rally. If someone wants to demonstrate, they can certainly do that.”

Representatives from Trump’s campaign did not answer questions about admission to Friday’s rally Monday.

On Monday, a number of Latino politicians including U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D), Ald. George Cardenas (12th), Ald. Raymond Lopez (15th), and Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36th) said they will stand among the protesters Friday outside of the UIC Pavilion.

How leftists judge if a Presidential candidate is racist:

1. If a Presidential candidate supports enforcing immigration laws then that Presidential candidate is racist.

2. If the Presidential candidate opposes people sneaking into the country then that Presidential candidate is racist.

3. If the Presidential candidate supports arresting and deporting those people who sneaked in JUST LIKE MEXICO DOES, then that Presidential candidate is racist.

4. If a Presidential candidate tells the truth how Mexico paroles convicts including RAPISTS and sends them over the border just to get rid of them, then wow they are most certainly racist.

5. If a Presidential candidate says “He is going to be the greatest jobs President God ever knew” then wow, he is most certainly racist and Hitler.

6. If a Presidential candidate says he’s going to get rid of the biggest scam of the 21st century, Obamacare, and replace it with a system guaranteeing healthcare for everyone, then that Presidential candidate is most certainly racist and Hitler.

7. If a Presidential candidate declares that he is sickened by 60% unemployment in the black community and vows to bring that number down to a fraction of what it was so blacks won’t be living in horrible poverty, well that Presidential candidate is racist and Hitler.

8. If a Presidential candidate does not allow racist thugs to take over his Presidential rallies so they can declare ONLY black lives matter, why then that Presidential candidate is most certainly racist and Hitler.

9. If a Presidential candidate says he wants to put an end to Islamic radicalism unlike the current President who empowers and helps spread it, well then that Presidential candidate is racist and Hitler.

10. If a Presidential candidate says he is going to stop politicians from selling out the USA like a cheap yard sale, then by gosh that Presidential candidate is most certainly racist and Hitler.

Mayor approved the permit for the protests, police didn’t take control to remove the protestors or move the protestors away from the hall. Bill Ayers, and MoveOn.org worked in conjunction to push the protests.

Resultis more votes for Trump.

Yes, I read or heard a report or two of the plans for the protest, but last night and today the news reports just aren’t giving ‘credit’ to all the groups involved in staging what happened. Having heard one word about Luis Gutiterrez’s involvement, a US Congressmen helping to organize an event to disrupt a presidential candidates rally.

What the treasonists don’t realize is that they are actually HELPING Trump. Maybe a few years ago their tactics would have worked, but not anymore. The people are sick-to-death of leftists and their bull, and ARE in active rebellion against these bugs. 7 years of Obamanation are enough.

Luis Gutierrez is a lowlife piece of trash, a traitor who if it was up to me would be immediately removed from office for violating his oath and would be brought up on charges of treason. This guy does NOT represent the USA in any way shape or form.

And the news reports today should be giving Luis Gutierrez ‘credit’ for what he helped bring about. People all over the US need to know who all was involved.

The picture shows it all! Trump may be an arrogant SOB, but the hate coming out the hard core leftist is incredible and apparently it has an affect on all of their women (ugly to the bone). Stay safe and stay armed folks as they will so no mercy to us when the time comes.

When I was a student at the Univ. of Illinois Navy Pier Branch in those days (50’s) it was already a breeding ground for the Marxists. Chicago has been the mother ship of American Marxism for at least the last 100 years. The Univ. of Chicago is their Vatican City.

What the treasonists don’t realize is that they are actually HELPING Trump.

They are so self-absorbed and self-important that they're incapable of thinking that rationally.

I hope Mr Trump refuses to pay one penny for the venue, event staff or OT for CPD detail officers. All were useless or worse and can go pee in a barrel for all I care.
