Both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are campaigning for Democratic votes in Florida on Thursday.
Hundreds of people turned out for a Clinton campaign stop in Tampa, where the former First Lady and current frontrunner appeared at the Ritz Ybor.
Supporters began lining up at 7:30 a.m. and an extra screen was set up for an overflow crowd anxious to hear her message in her first Tampa appearance since a failed presidential campaign in 2008.
The former secretary of state leads Sanders by a margin of 62 percent to 32 percent among likely Florida Democratic voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
Her speech Thursday was full of references to immigration, education and equal pay for women.
She also took a few jabs at Florida Gov. Rick Scott, insisted she's ready to take on whoever gets the Republican nomination and encouraged everyone in the room to get out and vote Tuesday -- in spite of what the polls say.
"We are ahead, we are going to stay ahead and we are going to win as many states as we can," Clinton said. "We are going to win as many delegates as we can and I feel very good about the states we are going into on Tuesday."
In the hundreds, you say?....
Wowzers.
Hundreds? Wow.
Those are Rubio numbers!
I just saw a huge crowd of Bernie supporters in Tamps on Fox. Thousands, not hundreds.
Well Tampa is such a tiny village...hundreds must mean people are coming from miles around....
Hundreds?
Hillary, Rubio, and Ted really know how to pack those pancake houses and football stadiums.
How does that work?
When you’re talking to folks in a pancake house, do you tell yourself they are all there to see you, or does it concern you when they’ll eating the whole time and waitresses are delivering the checks?
The going rate to attend a Hillary! rally is $11.50 an hour, $10.50 an hour for SEIU members.
I’d be embarrassed if I had her name and drew hundreds...in Florida.
Trump has more protesters than that.
Bill Clinton cancelled when he heard the crowd numbered about 300. Said weather was the reason.
Seventy-five people showed up for Chelsea/s speech.
At this point, Clinton has exactly one group of people who are voting for her-blacks. And they don’t even seem all that fired up about it.
Hundreds? Sounds like Cruz size crowd.
How many were forced to be there? How many were campaign people?
She wore her best camo circus tent for the occasion.
Just what I was thinking.
Of course it is easy for Bernie to get big crowds. None of those people have jobs.
I’m a little confused. When she leaves, does that make her a Tampax?
“Overflow crowd.”
In the bathroom maybe.
