Well I have a real problem with this guy's defense of The Donald's statements on Iraq.

If you want to argue that invading Iraq was a bad idea-- fine. But please spare me the leftist b.s. about "Bush lied." You only show yourself to be a chump or a liar.

Really? Besides his vote on the Corker bill and for TPA cloture, what has Ted Cruz actually accomplished in office? I voted for him in 2012 and I cannot think of anything. He did have a filibuster that was amusing but it actually accomplished nothing. Please enlighten me.

He saved the 2nd Amendment when he fought that cage match at the Supreme Court against Al Qaeda!

Take that up with the rest of the worthless Senate. There are just a few conservatives in the Senate like Cruz and Sessions. The rest are RINOS and dems.

Actually, that is not true. Alan Gura did that. He was the attorney for both Heller and McDonald.

Should I blame them for his votes on the Corker Bill and TPA also?

So what, when is the last time a lifelong Repub has ever fought back. Stay under your desk with all the other “principled” conservatives.

Pray America wakes

I was posting to Mr. K in reference to HIS comment, so if you don’t care “so what” why do you bother posting to me?

Precisely!

I’m not voting for somebody to build themselves a bulletproof defense. I want someone who knows the only way to win for us is by going on offense.

That's a good article, and he makes the best case possible for Trump. Without insult insulting anyone, I might add.

I still think he falls into the easy trap of blaming the GOP in general for not being conservative enough, which I think ignores political realities. And I think he's really missing the mark by punting on the "big government" issue.

But I still respect the opinion and the way it was expressed.

Thanks Right-wing Librarian.
John C. KlugeT:
"Let me say up front that I am a lifelong Republican and conservative. I have never voted for a Democrat in my life and have voted in every presidential and midterm election since 1988. I have never in my life considered myself anything but a conservative. I am pained to admit that the conservative media and many conservatives’ reaction to Donald Trump has caused me to no longer consider myself part of the movement."

Why do you care? You are supporting a man who gave money to the clinton’s.

The only “political reality” I’m focusing on is the democrats have been able to FORCE systemic changes to our society throughout my entire life, and the republicans never have anything but excuses for not being able to stop them.

Therefore, republicans are either lying, or incompetent. Either way, their “direction” is definitely the wrong one.

Asking someone why they are posting to you is the FR equivalent of a girl in a short skirt asking a guy “what are you looking at.”

I don't disagree at all with what you wrote about the Dogmatists v. Realists. But it actually reads much more like an eloquent retort to those who levy blanket accusations against "RINOs" and the "GOP-E" that it does as support for Trump.

Honestly, what really turns me off from Trump is what I see as political nihilism towards just about everyone who isn't Trump. People saying we'd be better off getting rid of the Republican Senators because they're really no better than the Democrat's who'd replace them, etc..

So invoking Realism v. Dogmatism in defense of that mindset seems odd to me.

I understand your point. I just think it’s wrong/intellectually lazy to lump all Republicans in together when issuing that condemnation.
