Donald Trump doesn’t rule out Marco Rubio as VP possible
Donald Trump doesn’t rule out Marco Rubio as VP possible ^ | March 9, 2016 | A.G. Gancarski

After another disastrous performance in four primary and caucus states, the candidacy of Marco Rubio is troubled.

However, he may not be out of the running for an executive branch job just yet, if the comments of Donald Trump on “Morning Joe” Wednesday were any indication.

“I’ve always liked him, and then he hit me really hard,” Trump said.

“I got along with him until a few weeks ago when he started playing Don Rickles.”

When asked whether Rubio would be a potential VP candidate, to help with the establishment and Hispanic voters, Trump was cagey … but he didn’t rule it out.

“If he runs and loses … he will never be able to do anything big politically in Florida. I certainly don’t think he would be considered by anybody as vice president, and I don’t think he could run for governor or whatever. Running and losing would be risky,” Trump said.

Then the question, reiterated: if Rubio drops out now, would Trump consider him for VP?

“Sure, sure, and he’s got a lot of talent,” Trump said. “I just don’t want to say that … it’s just not appropriate to talk about that until he makes a decision. It’s too soon.”

Essentially, Trump issued an ultimatum to Rubio: Get out of the race before the Florida primary. Or your political future is over in Florida.

But … if Rubio acts now …. the consolation prize of VP may – repeat, may – be offered.

It was wishful thinking on the part of the interviewers.

It is being widely reported in Chicago talk-radio that Marco Rubio is being HEAVILY pressured to get out of the race before next Tuesday and the Florida Primary.

If he were smart (I'm not suggesting he is ...) he'd get out TODAY and work on rehabilitating his reputation and image ASAP before he gets CRUSHED next Tuesday.

Impossible. Trump’s antics and mocking would never cause Rubio to want to serve under him.

Trump playing 3D chess.

Suggesting that he drop out will only urge Rubio to stay in to spite Trump, splitting the vote and ensuring a Trump victory.

I hope Rubio stays in. It only helps Trump in winner-take-all Florida and in Ohio.

Marco is so unpopular in Florida that he is unlikely to be elected for anything in the near future.

He may have to use that law license—I suggest he specialize in immigration law. /S

This is just a carrot being held out to Little Marco - it may cause him to curtail any nastiness he may be planning to roll out in Florida.

This is aimed at Rubio voters in FL. Nothing more.

Rubio is toast. The only job he may be able to get after this is Schumer’s errand boy.

Rubio wont just get crushed in Florida, he will be humiliated

Florida voters are not happy with Rubio and Rubio would not be re elected to the Senate if ran for it

Having the despicable AMNESTY-PIMP Rubio as his running mate would be the ONLY situation in which Trump would not have my vote in November.

Why don’t we wait until the broken convention, where the RNC/GOPe will probably be singing their Swan Song.

One thing at a time.
