Supreme Court overturns Alabama court ruling against a lesbian mother’s adoption
Washington Post ^ | 03/07/2016 | Robert Barnes

The Supreme Court on Monday overturned an Alabama Supreme Court ruling that said the state should not recognize a lesbian mother's adoption of three children in neighboring Georgia.

The court overturned the decision without scheduling the case for oral arguments and full briefing. It said the Alabama high court's decision ignored long-standing precedent that state courts must recognize legitimate rulings by courts in other states.

The justices already had granted a stay request from one of the mothers, identified in court papers as V.L. The Alabama high court said Georgia courts violated their own state laws in granting the adoptions of the children V.L. shared with her former partner, and thus she did not deserve custody or even visitation with the children.

V.L. adopted the children whom her longtime partner, identified in court papers as E.L., delivered after becoming pregnant from a donor. The couple later broke up in Alabama, where they lived.

"The Georgia judgement appears on its face to have been issued by a court with jurisdiction, and there is no established Georgia law to the contrary," the Supreme Court wrote in an unsigned opinion in which there were no recorded dissents.

"It follows that the Alabama Supreme Court erred in refusing to grant that judgment full faith and credit."

Unfortunately, not a Trump OR a Cruz will do anything to kill the same sex boojit in America

They'll let us fight all we want about illegals and drugs and the economy, but the true insider trading is happening in the queer courts

THAT'S the "from within" how we will be destroyed

Do not blithely say yes to your child’s request to spend the night at the home of a classmate before you find out who is living there. We do not live in Mayberry any more.

Alabama should completely ignore this ‘order’. I have a right to carry in Pennsylvania but would be arrested if I walked into New Jersey or New York with my gun.

Many states to not accept other state laws. it happens all the time.

So I would tell the Supremes to go F themselves.

We’re pretty much at the point of having an entire government, an entire system, and an entire culture that prioritizes the interests of perverts, molesters and deviants. America just continues its descent into evil. We’re becoming like a mad-dog that needs to be put down.

What would happen if Alabama - or any state - just ignored the immoral decisions of these black-robed reprobates and told the Supreme Court to “go pound sand”? Seriously, what could the Court do? I think it is time to wage a fight of civil disobedience against all these immoral and unjust federal rulings and laws. Why do Americans continue to put up with this elitist excrement?

Homosexual women often undergo insemination with sperm of homosexual men. They don’t need heterosexuals.

Every decision this court makes gives the leftwing agenda what it wants.

They issued the ruling without even hearing oral arguments and there were no dissenting opinions given.

Does this order to recognize rulings in other states means if one state legalizes polyamory or some such, the others have to recognize it, too?

I don’t believe this is any longer true with respect to NJ. They recently listed their reciprocity laws.

To your other point, we may not like or disagree with the decision however to condone Alabama to ignore a legal order is promoting anarchy. Now I know I’ll probably take it on the chin for this but the Constitution is extremely clear in this matter. States must respect Full faith and credit. A civilized country may not respect the decision but must adhere to it. If there is a counter argument on how the ruling was applied then Alabam should beef up their laws and pass the legislation. Once done let the courts rule again under a different reason.

This is how our system works. To not even hear the case tells me the state either didn’t do its due diligence in filing the counter or there was no standing on behalf of Alabama. Either way, don’t like the system have it changed in the legislature. For the state to do otherwise would send a signal to their population, don’t like a law that favors your beliefs then simply ignore it.

One of the dirty secrets in our culture is the amazing frequency of domestic violence and other pathologies in homosexual households. In real number, heterosexual incidents of course dwarf those, but proportionally, those households are volatile as hell and gasoline under the same roof. NOT in the best interests of the child. But now, almost the entire analysis of the best interests is money money money. And now, PC.

I believe homosexuality is genetic.
I once accidentally stumbled onto a womyn’s group of lesbians holding a rally at a local park
They were playing this hideous sound tape of music with an announcer saying things like “a typical male rapes 3.5 women in his lifetime” and “a typical male assaults women etc etc etc”
It was pretty silly and horrific stuff.
So as I was leaving I was going to walk up and ask them if they really believe that stuff, but as I did I saw half of them had pronounced facial hair and male-looking chins and body form, and looked so much like a group of males that it was a shock.
From that moment on I knew it was something genetic.
They also looked at me like I was some gang member from the Bloods transgressing onto the Crips territory- and women do not act that way to strangers.

I was temped to say a cheery “Hi girls!” but like I said - I was so shocked at their appearance it put me off- plus I was afraid they would kick my ass.

“ignored long-standing precedent that state courts must recognize legitimate rulings by courts in other states. “

Unless of course the “legitimate ruling by a court in other states” makes killing an unborn baby more difficult or the bearing or arms easier.

Based on this ruling, concealed carry issued in one state MUST be honored by all...right?
