Steyn seems humorless today, when he is usually full of mirth. So far 30 minutes have gone by and he hasn’t made a single joke. He almost sounds like he really would rather not be doing the show today. Maybe right before the show he saw a bunch of mean things on social media (people really need to stop reading that stuff, as that is where Trump supporters are at their most vile).
It’s strange. Steyn keeps saying there is a civil war between “conservatives”, but the truth is that all conservatives are united behind Cruz. Trump supporters never claim Trump is conservative, nor do they call themselves conservative.
Steyn seems interested only in “who can win” as opposed to who is the best person to win. That’s a troubling sign. What’s the point in Trump winning when he will enact policies identical to Hillary Clinton’s and Marco Rubio’s?
But there are also problems with Cruz, that can give ammo to the Dems, from the “citizenship” issue, with a certain politico by the last name of Grayson who has threatened to sue Cruz to being able to win over those folks who support Trump in the event of Cruz winning. Cruz has his job cut out for him.
He should have said there is a civil war between Republicans.
