George Will: ‘I Think We May Have Passed Peak Trump’
Breitbart ^ | 3/6/2016 | Pam Key

Posted on 03/07/2016 5:50:30 AM PST by 20yearsofinternet

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Washington Post columnist George Will said in light of Sen. Ted Cruz winning more states in yesterday’s Republican primary, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may have may have peaked.

Partial transcript as follows:

WALLACE: “Republican Party tearing itself apart?”

WILL: “I think we may have passed peak Trump, as it will be known. I don’t think Mr. Romney was under any illusions that he was going to talk Trump’s supporters out of supporting him. I think he knows the axiom that you cannot reason people out of a position they have not been reasoned into."

As a Trump supporter, Oracle of Wrongness predictions like this give me comfort. Hopefully The Donald wins decisively in Michigan and the rest tomorrow.

I think Trump will do well in Mississippi and Michigan, add 50 or so to his delegate count, and make hash of “peak Trump” yet again. No feeling for Hawaii or Idaho, though.

Trump’s supporters say they like him because he claims to be a conservative and an outsider. Trump is neither. But Cruz is both. Vote Cruz!!!!!

I suppose describing this poser as a Washington Post Columnist is infinitely better than calling him ‘conservative’ in any shape, form or fashion.

Cruz will probably take Hawaii, it’s a caucus.

We passed “Peak Will” a while back. Remember that Will supported Baker & Bush over Reagan. I’m a Cruz supporter but if Trump is the nominee I’ll do my best to assure that it will be Trump appointing Scalia’s replacement, not Sanders or Clinton.

Projection.

The peak of believability of Faux “News”
and George Will is long, long past.

All we have done is pass peek Will.

This guy has turned into a full blown idiot.

Yeah Hawaii is a weird place economically. It would not benefit from a wall as the illegals fly in from Asia.

Yep, I’ll likewise vote for Cruz if he pulls it off. Anyone but the commies.

George Will: yet again whistling past the graveyard. Political pundits like Will are just as clueless about the attitude of the American electorate as are the leadership of the GOP.

I am a Cruz supporter...but I think George Will is allowing his fervrent hope to control his reason.

I expect Trump is going to win in Michigan, Mississippi, and Hawaii tomorrow, I expect he will take Florida and probably Ohio, he is going to hands down win NY. No way can you claim that such a potential is Trump having passed his peak.

I do hope we deliver ID to Cruz tomorrow.

I know this, should Trump win the nomination I will support him 100% gainst either Hillary or Sanders.

Where have I heard this before? Oh, yeah, about a half-dozen times last year.

And:

in light of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) winning more states in yesterday’s Republican primary

He didn't win a single primary. He won two caucus states. That's a big difference. Where there is an actual primary -- you know, that little procedure where people actually vote at an official polling place rather than go to someone's home or wherever -- Cruz loses to Trump. Like in Louisiana. Caucuses are crap. They should be abolished.

Peak Will was passed about 1980.

Cruz is no outsider. I heard a clip of Kasich saying he is not establishment and never has been. I believe Kasich being anti-establishment as much as I believe Cruz is an outsider.
