CNN reported yesterday that indeed unnamed "GOP operatives" confirmed off the record there was a plan to get Carson into the Florida race.
Carson campaign chairman Bob Dees also told the Washington Examiner that such a push existed.
"That's been very tangible. It's been several... two groups of billionaire-types of folks that have pressured him," Dees told the paper. "People that drive super-PAC activity and other endeavors and, in fact, there was even discussion of a, well, we can help with the Florida [U.S.] Senate seat if he'll just agree to do what we'd like you to do or support our guy, drop out, etc."

Rubio made a mistake BUT it gave us an opportunity to know Cruz better. There’s a reathe Senate doesn’t like Cruz....cuz he’s a dictator.
Dr. Carson would be an outstanding Senator, hope he runs.
Good gosh. A dictator? Give me and many other posters a break and take a week or two off. You ain’t making any sense at all.
I hope he does too,
Cruz is a dictator...?
Are you on mind altering drugs?
That’s where he belonged all along.
I am a Trump supporter
I would not call Cruz a dictator
I would call him isolated and that is not a good thing
I am a Trump supporter.
I would not call Cruz a dictator.
I would call him someone who upholds his conservative values. That does isolate him, but without someone like him to remind his Republican colleagues and voters of conservative principles, I think we would have been worse off.
Yes I will vote for Carson here if he runs.
You know, there are a few fellows who systematically got rid family members of their enemies, just as Trump has mentioned he'd like to do.
One recent guy is that North Korean nut job.
And the other was Joseph Stalin.
Yes, we already have an outstanding conservative candidate for this seat in Ron DeSantis!
If this effort actually exists, it exists with an intent by the GOPe to have him siphon votes in the primary from Ron DeSantis. I hope that my fellow FReepers are not foolish enough to encourage this latest establishment trick.
Let’s NOT be gullible.
He was a terrible presidential candidate. What makes them think he’d be a better senate candidate?
One of 100 Senators = UNDER employment. ONLY IF IT’S from Maryland. When he loses there will be a cabinet position(high profile) waiting.

Ben Carson for Surgeon General, instead, in a GOP POTUS administration.
