which vp is not president he could stay that until such timeThat's wrong. The requirements for POTUS and VP are identical.
The Establishment/Globalist/Uni-party fantasy of a Brokered Republican Convention in Cleveland would be Torched.
If these two guys can come together, and let bygones be bygones...., then it’s GAME OVER for the Establishment.
To quote Bill Paxton from the movie Aliens.
“Game over man! Game over!”
Never SAY Never
I have seen this match-up for some time .. because I believe the Senator’s legal/constitutional skills will be needed by Trump .. or Trump will be in major trouble on day one.
And while the Trump sons might be a handful, they still do not have the knowledge of the Constitution which Ted has acquired. You don’t argue before the Supreme Court if you’re stupid.
Scott Walker good VP Choice.
Jeff Sessions, Dir. Homeland Security.
I don't think he'll get either call from Trump.
And he'll turn the court in the Senate....working with his BFF, John Roberts.
Too bad...lotta knowledge. He'll find his way but doubt he even get re-elected in Texas.
All...interesting comments. Just want to clear up one item.....I meant Trump would be the POTUS candidate & Cruz would be the VP Candidate!!! Why? I do not think Cruz could ever gather the votes on his own to successfully defeat Hillary Clinton...or any Democrat POTUS candidate, put forth. Together these gents would be unbeatable...IMHO!!!
Trump tried to warn Cruz to get the citizenship matter settled. Cruz didn’t. No way Trump would take the risk for either Cruz or Rubio. I do not believe either is eligible.
Trump should have said he’d nominate Cruz for the supreme court when he was asked during the debates.
I agree.
Ages ago (or so it seems) Trump said, clearly, that he wanted the citizenship issue settled in case he chooses Cruz as his running mate. This sent Cruz into a wild “spin and assault” mode that he hasn’t come out of yet - so either Cruz knows he’s not really eligible or his ego will not allow him to accept the second spot.
And, much as I dislike Cruz, there would be benefits to him agreeing to the VP spot - biggest among them is that this horrible Trump vs. Cruz war would stop, and the two could unite to defeat the Uniparty (including, of course, the democrats).
By any means necessary.
Your enthusiasm should be dimmed by the fact FR’s political analysts have repeatedly ad nauseum proven this will not be possible./s
Possible but unlikely. I think the point of no return was when Felito got into the foam party with Marco and Willard.
Why would you want that with you stated opinion of Ted? I have posted hundreds of times since November Cruz would never be his VP. Cruz has been a practicing Christian since 8-year-old and a practicing conservative since 12-year-old. You figure it out.
I voted for McCain because of Palin. Won’t do that again.
The Dems would love it...only to challenge Cruz’s eligibility.
Exactly so. Perfect analogy. And now, a quarter of a century later, the damage is still there.
If not Cruz, then Senator Jeff Sessions from Alabama.
Then Trump can fill the cabinet positions with Generals/Admirals and Business men.
I don’t think Cruz wants to be Trumps VP. It’s a gamble because if a Trump presidency goes completely off the rails Cruz would be associated with it. That might be an impediment to Cruz’s presidential aspirations.
Trump has eaten enough Cuban sandwiches in this election to last a lifetime. He’s going with a different menu.
“As a VP Cruz would be as George the First was, mouthing support in public, all the while sabotaging and bad mouthing in private and leaking inside info to GS via Heidi.
“
You read my mind. If you had asked me last Fall about a Trump/Cruz Ticket, i’d have been all in for it. But in the intervening period, I’ve had a chance to see the “real Cruz” and all the stuff he and his wife are involved with that are definitely not conservative in nature. So now, I wouldn’t want Cruz anywhere near the Trump White House.
