Folks say that politics makes for strange bedfellows....maybe. With that being a fact of political life....I begin to see the strong possibility of Donald J. Trump & Ted Cruz joining forces...Trump for POTUS & Cruz for VP. I actually believe that would make for an awesome totally unbeatable ticket, that would alter USA history, forever, for the betterment of "all" Americans and destroy the current Democrat Party, politcally. Outcome: Trump for eight years & Cruz for eight years!!!
To that "table" Trump brings Republicans, Independents, Democrats, Crossovers, Industrial Union workers, Blue collar workers, African-Americans, Hispanics, Other minoriities, First Responders, Military folks, Women, Middle Income Americans....Cruz brings millions of "Conservatives" of all political stripes, including the new "Young" folk Conservatives. To me....that is an awesome crosssection that would really "Make America Great Again!!!
It is now time for Trump/Cruz to bring "ALL" Americans into the great American melting pot...where they all will be equally free to capitalize on their individual talents, rather then be "Slave" wards of the the Obama/Clinton Big Brother State that controls every move in life they make!!! Just one man's opinion!!!
Cruz will never take it, he sincerely believes he can win this thing.
This would be a happy ending to this memorable campaign and would lead to a landslide victory over the ‘RATS in November.
Don’t know IF Cruz would go for it or wait for 2020 IF Trump becomes the nominee.
But IF he did . . . only 4 years for Trump then 8 years for Cruz. Trump would be rather old for 8 years. Presidency is tough. Just look at the pictures of former Presidents before and after 8 years.
Depends on how deep in the Gope Cruz is.
Let me mod this a bit.... Ok Trump and cruz join, trump is elected. Cruz determined not eligible to be president (which vp is not president he could stay that until such time ) BUT, Once Trump is sworn in, he puts forward a nomination of Cruz for Supreme court nominee. Cruz completely qualified and he has already approached Trump to drop out of race if he gives him a supremes nomination. (trump said no btw) However the above deal would completely be a deal trump can understand. Cruz knows he would have more impact on the direction of the country as a Supreme. THAT is a strategic move that would make the left explode.
I remember in the beginning like last August or September they sort of were working together and at that time I was hoping they would be President/VP going up against Clinton. Scary thing is what if Hilary picks Bernie as VP???
No way...
I wish....but can’t see it....you can’t call someone a liar and a constitutional (birth certificate) threat and unring those bells.
They could change the slogan from “Make America Great Again”, to, “Stick It To ‘The Man’”
As a VP Cruz would be as George the First was, mouthing support in public, all the while sabotaging and bad mouthing in private and leaking inside info to GS via Heidi.
NFG
You are wrong, Cruz already approached Trump to drop out if he got a supreme nomination. The numbers of the populism is just not there for cruz. He knows it and the GOP hates cruz. After the Mitt romney disaster move the GOP did they are out of choices. There is no one they will put in place of trump that can beat Hilary ( even though she will be indicted and will not be candidate)
Reagan was 70 when he won the presidency.
Trump will never take the VP position-
That ship sailed some time ago. Cruz would bring nothing to the ticket and Trump would have to look over his shoulder everyday to make sure Cruz was not knifing him in the back.
When Trump finally secures the nomination he will have to start mending fences with the party so the logical pick is likely Kasich. He can help win OH in the general election and he knows and has congenial access to everybody in the Congress. As VP and President of the Senate Kasich would be able to help shepherd Trump’s agenda through the legislature.
VP is the right job for Cruz. He needs to tone down the attacks and return to his determined Constitutional advocacy.
I know. And so will Trump IF elected. He’ll be 70 come June.
Why would anyone vote for Trump if he picked for VP someone he claims is ineligible?
Well, his father certainly believes he’s “the chosen one”.
