Mike Huckabee obliterated Mitt Romney and his hypocritical attacks on Donald Trump Saturday on FOX News.
Mike Huckabee:People are angry and they feel like lets give somebody a chance thats disconnected from all those people The most glaring thing to come from that Romney speech is he hit Trump for not releasing tax returns. Mitt Romney did not release tax his own returns until six weeks before the elections in September of 2012. He hit him for having wealth. Now think about the irony of that. Mitt Romney who inherited vast amounts of wealth hitting Donald Trump for having inherited wealth. Then he hit him for some of the businesses that didnt work out that Donald Trump founded. Bain Capital had 22% of their businesses that didnt work out. That went Chapter 11. Its part of the process if youre a major entrepreneur. And then to hit him over the tax returns and say I bet theres stuff in there when thats exactly what Harry Reid tried to do to Mitt Romney back in 2012
The whole thing was surreal. What I dont think the establishment folks are getting there is an overthrow of our government taking place before our eyes. And they need to be grateful that it is a revolution by ballots not bullets.

“...lets give somebody a chance thats disconnected from all those people.”
Silly Huckster, the Donald is not only not disconnected, but connected to all politicians.
I saw that too and she was blistering.I would love to see someone say all that to his face. That would make great pay per view.
Huck, tell us about the bullets that were used by that guy you pardoned. You know, the cop killer. Sorry Huck, but deep down you’ll always be a used car salesman. I remember when FR didn’t care for you too much.
Wow, so many non-persons have been rehabilitated during this current cycle. I remember when Huckabee, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Chris Christie, etc., were “dead to [you].”
(At least, unlike in the former Soviet Union, they weren’t actually bullet-in-the-head dead.)
I wonder who will be politically-dead again when the cycle turns the next time. Who will miss the memo delineating the new revolutionary orthodoxy?
I remember when Governor Huckabee and Capitol Offense performed at the FR Inaugural Ball. I had a baby, of course, and wasn’t there in person, but remember seeing, on the live thread, many FRiends having a very nice time.
I’m here quite frequently and I’ve learned the names of regulars, such as yourself, whom I may disagree with but respect. Since this summer I’ve noticed an abundance of new members, as well as old members with dead posting histories. Neither group has been around long enough to understand the culture that’s been cultivated over the years, either due to newness or having signed off for years. Huck is now a hero and Planned Parenthood does good things at the new and improved FR. I even had to change my tagline, which I’ve had since my signup date : (
Remember the last cycle, when the drumbeat demand was that early primaries should be in Republican-lock states with closed primaries? Is there any admission by those proponents that they were wrong then?
I don’t care to hear what Huck has to say any more than Romney. Two has-beens.
Thanks for the kind words, and I liked your old tagline ;-). Primary season has always been crazy, but this year takes the cake ... especially if one remembers anything that occurred earlier than November 2015.
One just has to shake one’s head and *drink*. (Metaphorically, at this hour.)
I don’t think so.
It’s five o’clock somewhere!
Political commentary is like weather forecasting: there’s no penalty for being totally dead wrong, and each day starts with a blank slate.
Reminds me of my teenagers. If I had a dollar for every time I begin a sentence with, “You know you’re not allowed to ...”
And for the record, I rarely disagree with you. It was just a blanket statement!
But 9:00 a.m. EST.
