Considering that millions and millions of children attend public schools every day, for their entire academic career, without being sodomized, what do you think people would expect to happen?
You really think this is the appropriate thread to insult the majority of people’s parents? Is that the central issue here?
In your district is God's blessing asked on snacks? ( just wondering)
There are two choices that can be made by any school district. God's blessing can be asked, or it will not be. Neither action is religiously, culturally, or politically neutral
In one action, the state is establishing a God centered worldview.
In the other the state is establishing a godless worldview and teaching the children to live their lives without God and think and reason godlessly. At best it teaching children to park their religious beliefs at the door of government. This isn't religiously neutral either.
Are all the snacks in any government school district vegan? If they contain milk I hope they aren't mixed with meat products or contained pork, coffee, or caffeine ( among other ingredients) . If so, then some of the children are forced by the government into an environment where they are tempted to disobey their parents and religious leaders admonitions. That certainly isn't religiously neutral .
Gee! Tempted by the government to disobey their parents and religious and cultural leaders. Some of these children are barely out of diapers. Some are even special needs.
Yet....Despite the fact that it is impossible for any government school to be religiously, politically, or culturally neutral, taxpayers are under police threat to pay for non-neutral government religious, cultural, and political indoctrination. Unless parents can ransom their children with private or home schooling their children are under police threat to attend.
We started homeschooling soon after that.
Lord of the Flies deportment on government school buses is common. And....17,000 children each year need emergency room treatment due to school bus injuries. That does NOT include the physician and dentist visits are are never reported. Should I also add mental health worker visits that are never reported, as well?
No! It is not insulting to warning parents to NOT put their children on a government school bus. IT is a **warning** not an insult.
And...Yes, it is the **father's** responsibility to see that his children are protected. Government school buses are not safe places.
Pedophile rights are the next great social justice cause for secular progressives. Legislation is already written, lawyers/judges are being sought out/trained, hollywood/academia marching orders at the ready, and a dumbed-down society full of lemmings ready to accept it as being “the right thing to do” because they are being indoctrinated to do so.
Most Catholic schools are 6k a year for K-8.
Sell the fricken boat. Stop going to Disney. Screw the stainless steel appliances. Stop the “Lordy Lordy Im 40 so I deserve a cruise”. Stop ladies night out. Stop guys night out. Stop blowing money for the football tickets and sporting events. Stop smoking $7 a pack cigarettes each day. Stop the $199 triple play for cable phone and internet. Get rid of the multiple I-phones.
Then, if its still not enough- meet with your priest and explain you are desparate to save your child from government school. Beg and borrow from family. SAVE YOUR CHILD!
And going to public school would prevent that just how?
Or better yet, homeschool.

They were lucky to have attended BEFORE the Supreme Court ruled on gay rights - now they’re FAIR GAME and I just feel sorry for kids who have parents that put their PERSONAL COMFORT ahead of the safety of their kids.
Maybe you misunderstood. I am a teacher & I’m a good one. Every single profession has bad apples. You cannot fairly lump the bad ones in with the good ones who care. The bad ones make my blood boil.
I completely understand why parents choose a private school & homeschooling. I taught at a private Catholic school & a private free/hippie school & the parents were very invested in their child’s education. And many scrimped to send them. I also had the pleasure of being chosen to sign off on a home schooling family. The state required a licensed teacher to sign off on their curriculum. The dedication & creativity involved was impressive.
I work hard & don’t want to be lumped in w/ loser teachers. I just do not blame the mother, I blame a system that has allowed things to go unchecked.
Yes, far better for them to be exposed to the many and various pathologies that infect modern culture. Otherwise they might become judgmental.
This is the purpose of “Sex Ed” a Cultural Marixst invention to vulgarize sex and destroy moral formation in children. It is all about putting perverted ideas into little five year old heads so it will warp all perceptions about sex since they are too young and immature to handle the information. Remove morality from the act which group “Sex Ed” always will, and make it into a meaningless group thing. Destroy virtue formation (the idea of privacy and intimacy) in children and you will collapse culture and the Natural Family.
Christians always knew that innocence and mystery is essential to dignity and respect for the opposite sex and human life. The Sacredness and intimacy and privacy is essential to morality in sexual relationships.
Latency is preference for “the Same”-—the immaturity and normal sexual identity of children depends on not being sexualized (or raped) while in Latency (6- 13) otherwise you can be fixated if traumatised (raped or emasculated/or no father role model). When children are hyper-sexualized, they will do what they learn and act out, and in Latency-—they are too immature to appreciate “the Other” in a sexual way-—it is always the same— self/narcissistic..

You clearly insulted the majority of American parents in your comment about “no caring father”, etc.
I get it that you feel strongly about this issue, but the fact that you think this is an appropriate time to insult people to push your personal agenda is pretty revolting. You don’t seem to spare one second of thought or sympathy for the child, because you’re so busy rushing to point fingers.
I’m beginning to wonder if you were schooled anywhere.

Another poster asked where children were gaining their pre-pubescent sexual knowledge, and you answered (somewhat strangely) “Probably at home. But clearly some are learning in or on their way to school.”
My reply was intended to point out that children left on their own, at home or elsewhere, can view an infinite variety of filth online.
Certainly homeschoolers will avoid more of this garbage than public school kids, latchkey kids and so on.
But even the best-raised children are going to grow up in and out into a world of ever-increasing, ever-more-public sex and perversion.

For an INSIDER that it a remarkably kind posting. I’ve had doctors and other medical insiders tell me that I’m full of Shiite for objecting to them asking little kids about guns in their household. EVERYONE ELSE agrees with me...but to the ‘insiders’ it becomes a kind of ‘First Amendment’ thing to them, even if it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with political speech.
In this case, I speak to the OVERALL SYSTEM. I’m not an idiot and I do realize that there are a few good apples.
But I also look at how we rank in relation to the rest of the world, and then just how much we SPEND ON EDUCATION and just what we get for it.
Bottom line is that it is PATHETIC - and I simply have ZERO SYMPATHY for ANY PARENT that expects better. The kids in our schools (at least 10% now Illegals, another 2% or so, but rising: Middle Eastern ‘refugees’) are HORRIBLE...for a parent to care more about how ‘rich’ she appears to her neighbors because her kids get a ‘free education’ is just SICKENING. For years we lived in apartments, but kept our kids out of that system. I don’t think that I have to tell you the answer regarding whether they preferred mom at home, in the apartment, versus mom working, but living in a house.
That’s is my MAIN POINT here.
