The bottom line is that Trump can’t unify the GOP. Maybe no one can but it’s going to be ugly in November. And there is not much that can be done to fix it at this late date.

At this point it’s basically a question of whether Trump takes down the GOP Congressional delegation as well.

No conservative can, or anyone who is for stopping the DC madness

The GOPe is no longer a conservative party even though they claim to be when elections roll around.

If that is their definition of a conservative, they have hijacked the meaning and I am no longer one.

I guess I'll have to go constitutionalist from now on.

I’ve spoken with a number of co-workers going for other candidates besides Trump in the primary, but who have emphatically stated that if he wins, they’ll vote for him in the general, to stop the PIAPS....and that includes Cruz supporters.

"...The bottom line is that Trump can’t unify the GOP...

Well he has certainly unified the GOPe!

Against him, that is.

I see this as a grassroots movement that could ultimately result in traitors hanging from lamp posts, both figuratively and literally.

Thus I approve. This country, and our elites specifically, are due for a Great Cleansing.

Trump isn't taking anything down.

We are where we are because of the GOPee. Go to war with your leading candidate, you go to war with your base.

Trump is merely the messenger.

“At this point it’s basically a question of whether Trump takes down the GOP Congressional delegation as well.”

You’re blaming Trump for all this?

The only thing Trump has done is to put into policy papers what the GOP has promised us for decades. They ran as conservatives, told us what they would do if we gave them the house in 2012 and Senate in 2014. We did and they stabbed us in the back.

It’s the GOPe’s fault, nobody else’s.

“The bottom line is that Trump can’t unify the GOP.”

personally, I don’t want to set the GOP “unified”, I want to see it completely blown up as it’s currently structured and operates.
