McCain Follows Romney In Urging Voters To Think Twice About Trump

John McCain followed Mitt Romney on Thursday in blistering Donald Trump, warning that voters should think "long and hard" before making him commander in chief.

“I share the concerns about Donald Trump that my friend and former Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, described in his speech today,” said the Arizona senator and 2008 Republican nominee.

Thank you! Really good for that far out. I can only imagine that the gap has increased.

I voted against the Hobbit Hater last time in the primary but plugged my nose for him in the general since the other guy was like Alan Grayson.

I like Kelli way better than the last guy.

I agree. I’ve supported Cruz from the beginning. Have been distraught over the sniping between Trump & Cruz advocates. This new stuff from McCain & Romney actually makes me think more favorably about Trump. I held my nose and made some phone calls for McRomney (Ughhh!), because I saw Obama as a disaster. Romney has worse to say about Trump than he ever did about Obama. I see in no way how Trump is worse than Romney. He is looking better & better, in my estimation, by comparison. And for that reason, I am somehow feeling better about the prospects of Trump and a Trump presidency.

You were right. It was much worse than it seemed and it didn’t seem very good. Maybe we WERE better off with four more years of that man. Seriously, enough time under the boot heel to really make people wake up.

I hope we can begin to talk about Trump/Cruz unity again

Completely agree. It's time both of these men realize that either of them being in the lead would get the same treatment. Furthermore, if either is dispatched it would become open season on whichever remained.

McCain, thank God enough thought long and hard and didn’t vote for you or Mitt. I did and I’m sick about it. McCain is a traitor and his daughter is a fat pig.

He hasn’t come clean about anything yet. Including giving flight plans to the gooks. He should have been faced a court martial instead the Navy told him he would never make admiral and it would be best if he left the service. So, he got into politics and caused more damage.

I will once more stand and applaud at the mention of Sarah Palin’s name if she’ll nail this bastard just once!

The more that rhinos come out so viciously against Trump only serves to ease my concerns that Trump is one as well.

Kinda scared me when Reid gave him praise.

Go home McCain!... freakin traitor!

Romney’s presentation was pathetic. Making bad jokes and then awkwardly waiting for laughs. He was like Rubio the past week, except less animated. He didn’t have the organ grinder monkey thing that Rubio had.

Is this what we’ve come to?

“One of the real highlights is his blatant lie that Trump didn’t make his money - he inherited it. I wonder if Trump can sue him for slander.”

The accusation Romney is making against Trump is exactly the accusation people were making about Romney last time — that he inherited all his money and didn’t earn it on his own. He didn’t like it when he was the target but he’s doing it to someone else — someone who has supported him. How can this slimeball live with himself? Aren’t Mormons supposed to be “good people”?

I don’t think Trump can sue since he falls into the category of “public figure” or similar.
