MSNBC is reporting that Cruz has praised Romney. They are saying that is ironic to see Cruz praising the establishment.

Really, I thought his press conference Tuesday evening was a class act, very presidential. Donald Trump really is a grand old man.
Hmm, actually I think is just the opportunity Cruz needs. FYI I’m an undecided guy right now, but hear me out...
Cruz is supposed to be an outsider... he is losing the messaging though and is being seen as an insider now, I suppose because he’s a new Senator? Either way, he has a chance to change this right now.
My advice to Cruz would be this.
Spring into action! Lambaste the GOP for their behavior, congratulate Trump for his performance in the previous states, and reiterate the demand to be excluded from the GOP establishment. Go full maverick and stand tall.
People would see this and likely immediately join to either Cruz or Trump. Trump may end-up blowing himself up, his mouth can get him in trouble.

Yea I just saw on CNN a Cruz staffer saying they welcome Romney and his barrage.
So now Cruz is part of the establishment , well he lost my vote and I have just switched my vote .

On CSPAN, Pelosi just criticized GOPE for opening Pandora’s Box if they interfere with the voice of the people if in a fair competition he has had the lead of delegates going into the Convention.
If this is true, then I think Cruz will create himself a real problem.
ANY canidate would be responding. If Cruz had been the target he would be responding.
Basic rule of political campaigns: You never let any attack go unanswered. HOW you answer is the question.

If Cruz was smart he’d defend Trump on this and bash Romney. A lot of his supporters are right on the edge of bailing to Trump. Cruz kissing Mittens gives them a push right in the back. Big mistake because Cruz is fast losing his anti-establishment street cred, IMO.

You are on to something. Cruz would be better off attacking Romney rather than aligning himself with Romney. More than likely, he will just say that he respects Romney but will not comment on his remarks, which speak for themselves,
I think I would wait for confirmation on that.
