Establishment Republicans Are Furious With John Kasich (Hahahahahaha)

On Tuesday night as return after return came in and Marco Rubio failed to break through, many establishment Republicans grew angrier that John Kasich was still in the race.

One of them was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has become increasingly frustrated with Kasich behind closed doors, three sources told BuzzFeed News. In the coming days, McConnell will be urged to more aggressively try behind the scenes to push Kasich out, sources say. One of McConnell’s closest allies, Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, is still backing Kasich.

McConnell has become frustrated with establishment Republicans’ inability to rally behind a single candidate as Donald Trump continues to march toward the Republican nomination. McConnell has indicated he will allow Senate candidates to run ads distancing themselves from Trump, according to the New York Times, which also first reported McConnell’s frustrations with Kasich. With the Senate majority on the line, several vulnerable Republicans would face an even harder path to re-election if Trump is at the top of the ticket.

Kasich’s presence in the race almost certainly damaged Rubio on Tuesday night. As of late Tuesday, Kasich took 9.4% of the vote in Virginia — a state where Rubio likely lost by five points or less. Kasich also took 18% of the vote in Massachusetts; the same as Rubio.

If Kasich is staying in to take one for the team, he should be rewarded by Trump/Cruz.

I could care less if Mitch McConman’s ass is dumped as Majority Leader this fall.

The GOP needs to die and McConman is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

I have ALWAYS stated that no one is obligated to drop out. No one is obligated to vote for “the winner”. The “winner” has to EARN votes. That’s despite that fact that Carson’s continued run continues at best as a statement.

So, I accept Carson staying in as long as he wants, and hope that the number of his voters dwindle as it becomes clear that it is just a statement campaign.

Kasich is MORE popular than Rubio in the populous northeast, on a fraction of the money, and without Establishment blessing. That gives EVERYBODY (Republican and Democrat) evidence that Rubio is not good national candidate.

Just One Vote in Texas. In speaking with a Texas Client, she voted for Kasich. If the postman’s son can draw from the Rube, then more power to him. And as a side, if he can infuriate The Turtle, Hooray! And such a joy if Lindsey were to go thru life holding his nose due to the fact the Non-ReTRUMPicans had to support Ted Cruz to stop TRUMP - we’d no longer see the smirk on the pansy boy’s face.
All in all Super Tuesday turned out to be one remembered for a long, long time. Who is NOT smiling today in the mass fly over land of the unwashed WTP?

The GOPe don’t mind being in the minority, as long as the entrenched party members keep their jobs. Rep. Bob Michel (RINO-IL) relished being a loser as House Minority Whip and Leader for 20 years.

If Julia Hahn over at Breitbart is indeed the originator of Marco Mondale that is the greatest stick to him, couldn’t be more apt than SNL’s “Jebra!”

Seriously.

Marco Mondale just FITS!

"McConnell has become frustrated with establishment Republicans’ inability to rally behind a single candidate"

Actually, they've done a great job backing a single candidate. First it was Bush, then Christie, then Rubio. The problem is that they backed losers, and there aren't enough establishment voters to get more than 5% of the election.

I’m wondering what kind of Great Purge Trump will have after the election.

These people already know that they are fighting for their political lives, making them very dangerous.

Mcconnell, et al.. will fight to the death for that power he/they have had for way too long. He’s an old man and he has raked in enough wealth for himself.. but he doesn’t want to give up on that “power to the death”. He’s a despicable ‘man’... unworthy of the position he holds. Kentuckians... get him out.. PLEASE!

“The GOPe don’t mind being in the minority, as long as the entrenched party members keep their jobs. Rep. Bob Michel (RINO-IL) relished being a loser as House Minority Whip and Leader for 20 years.”

They had a pretty good gig. Backbench whining, offering no solutions, and maintaining a substantial organization to keep the entrenched wealthy happy with the crumbs left by the Democrats. All they had to do was spread a little BS to the stupid but loyal voters about how they would “stop this” and “stop that”. It was an ugly job dealing with these nasty common people every few years, but it had to be done. At least if you were a Senator, you had to do it only every six years.

Obama has actually observed and mentioned this, and it’s one of the areas of agreement that I have with him.

Stupidly, I voted for him as the lesser of two evils. At this point, the only way he’s going out is on a stretcher or a retirement cruise. I am publicly sorry.
