Trump Drives Republican Turnout To Record, Democrats Lack Enthusiasm

Republicans continued to shatter turnout records in their presidential primaries and caucuses Tuesday, while Democrats lagged behind in what analysts said was a clear indication of an enthusiasm gap heading into the general election.

Virginia easily broke its GOP record of 664,000 votes from 2000, and was nearing the 1 million mark. That would be four times the turnout in 2012’s Republican primary.

I don’t like that Trump lost a couple besides Texas. Oh well.

Those polls that claim Hillary easily beats Trump are hogwash. The RATs fear Trump. He’s the last one Hillary wants to face.

Feel comfort. It gives both Cubans enough reason to stay in the race until the whole thing goes winner-take-all.

It doesn’t matter that the Foam Queen won in Minnesota. They will vote for the Democrat in November anyway.

Not a biggie.

TX is under 50%, so you get delegates. That more than makes up for it. And now the path is clear for Florida and Ohio, as Cruzio will be leeching off of each other.

Every Democrat I know (most of my family and lots of friends - hey, I live in California) privately agrees, Trump is who they fear running against.

I would take 7 or 8 wins out of 11 any day of the week.

Does “lack of enthusiasm” mean they are only voting once?

I’ve been counting up votes and it looks like there were more republican voters in every state.

Only once per precinct. They are really depressed. They can’t find the energy to get back in line again.

A bunch of cross over democrats that may vote Trump in November, but will almost definitely vote democrat in the down ticket races. So enjoy Trump while be makes his deals with the new democrat senate and house. Not to mention a judiciary lost for a generation, and the lost governor offices and state legislatures that will turn blue. But hey as long as we teach the GOP a lesson in the primaries that’s all that counts right

I know voters who turned out today to purposely vote against Trump.

So I guess that verifies the headline. Trump probably was behind the long lines, both pro and con.

Why would the Democrats get geared up for the primaries when it is a foregone conclusion who will be their nominee? If it were Clinton vs Biden vs Kerry vs Sanders, RAT turnout would be significantly higher.

So what? Every Natural Born American is entitled to this opportunity.

If Donald Trump were an ethnic minority, as long as he's still an NBC, my support for his Presidential bid would be exactly the same...

Would that be the forefathers from England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Prussian, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, our own Native Americans, the Jews, Catholics, Huguenots and Protestants who fought for our freedom during the revolution or JUST your people. Geez has Trump so divided us with his xenophobic rhetoric that now we have to attack anyone who isn’t a WASP.

"So enjoy Trump while be makes his deals with the new democrat senate and house"

Which Republican candidate changes that equation?

At least the would be a Republican POTUS who loves the country.

That's better than any other plausible alternative.

I really can’t wait to hear Trump tearing into the Clintons. It will be ugly - and magnificent.
