Hogwash, if your job is to defend the country and you have the legal authority as defined by the constitution to do so and your current "boss" is at odds with that mission you fight and don't quit.
As a BP agent for 25 years I worked under Reagan, Clinton, two Bushes and the Obama administrations.
For the most part they all sucked when it came to border enforcement but I did not just quit whenever they placed obstacles at us doing enforcement. It happened throughout my carrier. We just figured workarounds so we could continue to still get the job done.
This was not just the agents in the field, at every layer of the Border Patrol, agents, supervisors lower, middle and upper management were engaged in constant battles with the political appointees and their surrogates to just get out of the way and let us do our jobs.
We never had much support for our mission within INS, DOJ, DHS or CBP but I have never seen it this bad.
This jerk telling agents who want to and have every legal authority do their job to just quit infuriates me and I am sure every currently serving agent.
Hey butt-head "border boss" they don't work for you you sanctimonious pompous ass they work for the American people and the constitution. You are just filling a chair until your replacement politico arrives to clean up your mess.
Its time for a public vote of no confidence on this lowlife and some sort of job action. Nothing that can get them fired but they can muck up Obama's agenda in other ways.
Agents don't quit, never quit your job is to important and we need all of you.

I got a bad feeling about Trump. We're getting the same treatment we got from BUSH. Told us what we wanted to hear, we got all hot and bothered, and one of the first things he did is to pass a HUGE prescription drug program.
I hear the same things coming from Trump and seeing Freepers getting hot and bothered, but haven't sen any action yet.
You’re right; when you work for Caesar, you do Caesar’s bidding (as in the private sector). This has come up with teachers forced to teach sex ed, cops having to lock up anti-abortion protesters, etc.
