I simply cannot fathom the enthusiasm for such an inferior, flawed, and derivative candidate. There is nothing that Trump can or would do that Ted Cruz would not do faster and better than Trump, if Trump really has any interest at all in doing the things he talks about.

What I find odd is the faith that some people have that Trump isn’t BSSing them off the face of the Earth, as is his natural skill set. He’s a kayfabe master; in the Hall of Fame, literally. There is no reason to believe a word out of his mouth, and plenty of cautionary evidence that he is totally lacking in sincerity.

Just a word of caution. You are about to be burned badly.

“I simply cannot fathom the enthusiasm...”

And therein lies your problem.

Please tell me just what Cruz HAS actually DONE that will convince me that he WILL do any thing?
He seems to talk the talk but walk the walk...
Not so much.
Like the lawyer he is.

Cruz does not have the Reaganesque support of the people like Donald Trump, and he cannot possibly speak above, let alone overcome the forces arrayed against him the way Trump can - the way Reagan did! No matter how much Cruz wants do to the right thing, he simply will not be able to overcome the stumbling blocks placed in his way. Trump has the best chance of doing that.

First of all, I was just listening to Charles Stanley talk about Satan’s strategy of getting us to believe a lie because we have a great need. Instead of looking ahead at the consequences, Satan gets us to look at the immediacy and then he gives us all this other crud that he wants us to end up with. The consequences are ignored. Really good sermon.

Secondly, I thought this was so apropos:

‘Using MRI machines, researchers at the University College London found that “feelings of love lead to a suppression of activity in the areas of the brain controlling critical thought. It seems that once we get close to a person, the brain decides the need to assess their character and personality is reduced.”’

Trump has been in people’s homes for years. Now they are inviting him into their towns and lives because he is telling them he will build a wall. But there is so much more behind the mask.

There is much truth in what is said above. I am a Cruz supporter, unfortunately he will not be the nominee. I hardly see now how Trump can lose, certainly it is his to lose.

As far as Cruz being able to do more than Trump I would say that is doubtful. Cruz like Trump is hated by the GOPe and The Dumbocrats they will do all they can to stop both of them. The only chance either of them has if they win in November is to have coattails.

I know nothing about Trump. I have little trust for him but there are things about him that impress me. He is the one who started the ball rolling on illegal immigration in this campaign. Spending his own money is a big deal. The fact is that the GOPe is a business that rakes in millions of dollars and many Republicans are afraid their money will dry up if Trump or Cruz get in because they will not be willing to do the bidding of the Crony Capitalists in Congress. I look for assassination attempts on either of these guys if they get nominated.

I'm still not sure Hillary will be the nominee for the left but if so I think Trump would have no difficulty dispatching her, she has a lot of baggage. Cruz will have a hard time raising the money needed to prosecute a successful campaign.

I can still dream for a Cruz president but my vision of reality tells me the best I can hope for is Trump president and then Cruz nominated to the Supreme Court of The US.
