The Polish subcontractor episode was around 1990 right after the 1987 amnesty fiasco.

Not a real issue for voters.

Donald Trump's lead in a new Suffolk University poll among likely Republican primary voters in Massachusetts...

Outsiders need to understand the political landscape here in Massachusetts. Below is the most recent breakdown of party affiliations here in Massachusetts. Democrats outnumber Republicans 3.2 to 1. The big thing to know is that more registered voters (2,178,240) refuse to enroll in a party than the number of voters in all the parties combined (1,895,915).

Mass Voter Registration

Massachusetts voter registration as of 2015:
Total registrations 4,074,155
Democrats 1,428,980
Republicans 445,900
Green-Rainbow 5,490
United Independent Party 1,867
Miscellaneous Parties 13,678
Unenrolled 2,178,240

The numbers give the Democrats the edge in elections. But when a candidate starts talking about America, the unenrolled come out and vote. They did it for Reagan twice. They did it for Scott Brown once when he led them to believe he was for America. They will do it again for Trump. Look carefully at the Massachusetts results for Tuesday. You will see more votes for Trump than there are Republicans. The unenrolled voters can take a ballot for any party in the primary. Scale the party affiliation proportions of register voters to the overall turnout and figure how many unenrolled voted for Trump. It'll give you an idea of Trumps strength in the general election.

“In Ted’s defense, IA is north of the line...”

I’d agree if Ted won it fair and square. To many questionable tactics to keep it in the win spot.

Okay, that’s fine. I don’t even know where McConnell comes from. All I know is that he is a sellout traitor to our cause, and now is probably a folk hero to some folks in these parts.

Not a real issue for you.
But then, from what I see here, there are no real issues for trump supporters.

It is an issue but that was 26 years ago n a different environment than today. Many things happen in a quarter century that may have not been a big deal once but is now. Anyone who runs a business these days with subcontractors cannot vouch for every person on the job. They can have their subcontractors sign a form they are following all applicable laws and regulations.

A,bigger question to me is whether Cruz or Rubio are even eligible to be President. However, I do not harp on it because most Cruz and Rubio supporters don’t see the problem.

I am more concerned with the state of our country and who may be able to turn it around. In my opinion that is Trump. In yours it is someone else.

May the best candidate win and God Bless this Country.

And if he’s the nominee, we will lose to Hillary. Write that down.

I'm betting Trump wins 45 states.

Minimum.

More than that: if Trump wins with huge turnout driven by independents in Massachusetts, it means Trump may very well carry many “blue” states come November.

Glad you've dropped the facade that your hatred of Trump is rational.

Excepting yourself, no one was fooled.

“At least they didn’t elect Obama, like you did, by not voting for Romney.”

I did not vote for a Romney in the primary, but I voted for him in the general.

Trump and Romney are pretty much the same person. Trump is more flamboyant and is a reality tv celebrity like Honey Boo Boo.

I said before that I think Mass-holeshusetts will be where Trump breaks 50%. They elected Romney. Makes sense.

And that's why nobody listens to you - snide comments w/o real basis or relevance is all you got - must be depressing to hang so much hope on so little ammo.

Mass is one of the most LIBERAL states in the US next to Nanny state NY. That says a lot to how liberal Trump is.

Trump and Romney are pretty much the same person

While they may share some similarities, your statement is so way off the mark it defies serious consideration.

Romney wasn't a fighter, Trump is.

Romney withered in the face of opposition, Trump not only meets the opposition head on, he overcomes.

Romney energized no one and got support only as the opposition candidate to Obama, Trump energizes across all demographics.

Those are just a few of the differences but I don't want to be verbose, I think you get where I am going with this.

There is a very big reason to get behind Trump now, and not later. That is, to eliminate the GOPe utilizing their final weapon of the rules they set in place to take this nomination process to the convention and selecting someone who the GOPe desires. This may be our last opportunity to get someone who cares for this country. Donald has always demonstrated a love for this country, so any attempts to convince otherwise, are nothing more than dirty tricks and lies.

It does not require you to abandon principles, if your principles are to turn this country around, bring back accountability, return sanity. Once this occurs then other more conservative principles can be worked upon. Until then we must start looking at what is really needed to accomplish our long term goals. They are not going to happen all at once. It was a slow process getting us to this sorry state, and unfortunately it will be a slow process reversing it as well.

BTW, I apologize for accusing you of something that was untrue. So many people on this site though were so dogmatic that they refused to vote for Romney and stated principles as their justification. Principles are important, but elections have consequences. Consequently, at least in my opinion, they abandoned their principles and helped in the re-election effort of Obama. I'm glad to know you were not among those who did.

I am not a Cruz hater, I think he is a truly gifted person. I believe he is sincere with his claims of love for this country as well. Unfortunately I also believe he is ineligible to become President because he does not rise to the level of natural born citizen, but that is a whole different argument.

The real reason for not supporting him is that he has not shown appeal beyond the truly conservation faction of the base. If he did he would be winning this process. It is just a fact we must accept. More of a testament of society than a condemnation of Ted for sure. He now is even lagging behind Rubio, who I have zero trust in and think he really is an enemy of the United States. He also is ineligible to be President. So telling that he is getting backing from the establishment donor class, isn't it.

Let's take back this country. Trump is our best possibility at this time. If I thought in any way that Donald Trump's motives were centered around Donald Trump he would not be receiving my support. Do I wish he had less warts, absolutely. Sometimes though the person with the warts is the person needed.

As I have always said, may the best man win. In my opinion that person is Donald Trump this time around, and I pray that I am making the right decision. Let me be clear, I will vote for Ted if he wins the nomination regardless of the conflict it will give me when it comes to upholding the Constitution. Elections have consequences.
