You’re right. It’s not Trump and his toadies who are insulting people, it’s everyone else. My apologies.

Isn't irony ironic?

Ha - the same type of reason to support McCain and Romney, eh?

No thanks. I think I’ll take a principled approach this time around.

I’ve noticed that they also seem to equate “The Donald’s” coming with disasters.

That applies to Rubio who is a Trojan horse for amnesty, but not to Cruz who is a proven Constitutional Conservative.

Republican Maine Governor Paul LePage officially endorsed Donald Trump for president Friday. ... “He’s the only candidate who’s showing a vision for the future,” he said. “He’s a businessman. I’m a businessman… I think he could be one of the greatest presidents if he sits down and puts together a good team.”

But Ted Cruz in so unpopular, even though all the same people (Dems, GOPe, yadda, yadda) “hate” Trump and that’s a plus!

LOL you are so funny.

Wow your argument has won me over. As long as you are around to create straw men and knock them down, I will never have to think for my self again /s

Nice post, but the Trump cult can’t hear you. They worship The Donald and no fact can get past their rose colored glasses.

Another straw man argument. I have not seen one post where they “worship” Trump. In fact most pro Trump post admit to his failings and his lack of conservative purity.

You either have not been paying attention to why people across the board are supporting trump, or you can not see past Cruz.

Au contraire, mon frere. Trump supporters are very issue oriented. Build the wall, stop the invasion and pump the breaks on unfair trade.

The only cultists are those folks buying the phony piousness of Saint Rafael of Goldman. Ted Cruz the man does not match the Cruz Lion of Conservatism myth but I guess loving eyes can never see.

You’re right, Laz. I should have called them losers, liars, nasty, terrible, and stupid. I know that’s OK because they go apesh*t when their Lord Donald calls people those things.

Abortion has been legal for over 40 years! All our precious purist candidates have not been able to do a thing about it. Cruz was not able to do a thing about it, with Republican control in both houses.

Sadly, I think they use the pro-life stance as a campaign tactic to keep folks on the plantation. There is no other excuse.

Ha - the same type of reason to support McCain and Romney, eh?

I understand what you are saying.

With only a few exceptions, my entire voting experience has been to have a choice between a candidate I don't particularly care for and one much worse.

That is the beauty of the two party system (at least for the two party in-crowd).

They give people the illusion of having a choice while being assured the ultimate winner will be someone they find satisfactory.

But the 1992 campaign of Ross Perot showed that the two parties have a lock on the process and abhor outsiders or insiders who won't play by their rules.

That is what has the GOP in such a fit about Trump and Cruz.

For your information 98% of TU were happy. Don’t fall for the establishment attack on Trump. They even had a money back guarantee if they didn’t like what they received. So because 2% of them were losers and thought they were scammed you denigrate the entire school?

Laz, that all sounds good until you consider two things:

1. He’s saying those things NOW, as an opportunist, but his past beliefs betray a much more malleable position on ALL these topics, and...

2. You have to dig a little deeper on each to see that there is a flip side to many. For example:

“Build the border wall...” with a giant, beautiful, open door (touchback amnesty)

“cancel Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders...” except that Trump has already indicated that he doesn’t understand what is Constitutional and what is not. He’s actually indicated that he would make MORE unconstitutional executive orders - i.e. try and legislate from the executive branch. Yay - more lawlessness!

“negotiate prescription drug prices...” which basically means injecting the government into something that should be managed by better free market principles. When was that conservative again?

“repeal and replace Obamacare...” with a system that he is quoted as saying would “cover everyone” and that the “government would pay.” Uh... conservative?

“simplify the tax code...” in itself is not conservative. Bernie would also like to simplify it with “tax the rich.” Trump’s tax plan is still highly progressive, which is not a conservative tax plan. So, you can simplify it all you want, but if you don’t replace with a consumption or flat tax, it really isn’t conservative.

“repatriate 2.5 trillion in off-shore profits...” which is code for, “so I can tax those big corporate bastards.” Hardly a conservative line. How about creating an attractive business environment here so businesses WANT to stay in the U.S.? Here’s a better conservative idea: eliminate corporate taxes altogether since they are really just a cost that is passed on to the consumer.

“reform the libel laws to remove the ‘public figure’ distinctions...” seriously? How is this conservative, constitutional, or protecting of free speech? So now people with deep pockets can sue their critics into silence, whether they are right or wrong, just by making their life difficult with an endless stream of lawsuits?

“defund Planned Parenthood until they stop doing abortions...” but totally support them for all their other “good work?” Please. How about just “defund them?” When should an NGO like PP be getting ANY money from the government, regardless of whether or not they are doing abortions? The true conservative position is simply “defund them” with NO qualifier.

“cutting waste, fraud, and abuse wherever it is found...” except when found in Trump’s personal organizations. If Trump University doesn’t make you believe that this is just lip-service, nothing will.

“destroy the culture of Political Correctness...” except for that part where I’m going to allow libel lawsuits to stifle free speech. Ignore that part. Because if you piss me off, I will sue you in a heartbeat.

Lie. Many of those reviews were pressured, and many were requested prior to courses even being taken.

That will all come out in the depositions.
