What Was Justice Scalia's Most Important Contribution to the Future of America?

Posted on 02/26/2016 8:38:37 AM PST by pinochet

Ten years ago, I would have said that Judge Scalia's brilliant legal opinions defending the constitution of the founding fathers, was his most important contribution to America's future.

But, today, I believe that Scalia's 9 conservative children are his most important contribution to America's future. One son is a priest.

If the Democrats win the 2016 election, they could reverse Scalia's legal achievements. But his numerous children, present and future grandchildren, and future great-grandchildren, will continue to fight to restore America's freedom.

I believe that a conservative who has many children, makes a more important contribution to the future of America, than a conservative who has the most pure ideological conservatism.

One more thing. Scalia was regarded, even by his enemies, as one of the most brilliant intellectuals in America. Therefore, Scalia shocked elites in 2013 when he openly acknowledged that the Devil exists:

American elites associate belief in the devil's existence as something that characterizes people from the lower social classes in America. Scalia was widely mocked for making that statement. Scalia reminded religious Americans, that they are in a battle between good and evil. We cannot be neutral in that fight.

God's truths do not change with the passage of time. Scalia reminded us of that. Scalia was as much a religious leader as any pastor or bishop (much better than most clergymen in upholding God's truths).

The Pilgrim Fathers who came on the Mayflower in 1620, produced America's first document of liberty, the Mayflower Compact. According to this document, the purpose of America's freedoms is to promote: "the Glory of God, and advancements of the Christian faith".

THAT IS WHY AMERICA WAS CREATED

The pilgrims had lots of children and aggressively promoted the values of the gospel. Scalia is a true ideological descendant of those great men.

Do you want to secure the long term future of America? Have lots of children, and teach them the values of the Gospel.

“What Was Justice Scalia’s Most Important Contribution to the Future of America?”

Being there and being himself.

I agree, but I have to say his biggest failure was not speaking up when he knew The Usurper was ineligible.

His reinvigorating and upholding of the originalist movement...putting the lie to the notion that the Constitution is a “living Document” that must constantly change and disabusing the notions of those who think that upholding truth and virtue in the 1800’s was any different than it is today.

I worked with Scalia when he was teaching at the University of Chicago, and that experience makes all of the vitriol directed against him by liberals especially disgusting. I never worked with a smarter man, and I never knew a more decent man. We’re all going to feel his loss.

Most likely something we will never know about, and his possible influence on the other judges.

I envy you for the fact that you can say that you were fairly well-acquainted with him.

The Heller Case

Individual right to bear arms

(instead of the moronic general right of a militia, rather than individuals)

His children, are his best contribution. If Conservatism is to survive it must be born and raised. Liberals will embrace the passions and crusades of the day ultimately selfish and as we all know self-destructive.

But if we hold to our principals and make dam sure our kids understand the truth. Doing our best to protect them from a world full of delusional liars, we will have won the most important race there is to be won. The human race.
Scalia was a great man, and a great judge. Our freedom depends upon our ability to eyther replace him or render his court accountable to the other branches of the Federal Government and not supreme over all and the Constitution.
