BOTH Jeff and Ted, together, tried to poison the GO8 bill prior to being sent to the house. BOTH Jeff and Ted are of similar thinking on this. Both were thwarted by Rubio-et-al.
So now Jeff Sessions is a liar, since has also said Ted was responsible for stopping amnesty? Wow you people are too much!
Gosh, you either weren't paying attention when that bill was all over the news cycles, you didn't understand the legislative strategy, which was recognized by everyone, Left and Right, or maybe you've forgotten.

Google “Ted Cruz and Torilla Coast House members” You’ll see Ted has influential meetings with key House conservatives to drive their insurgency against the leadership. These meetings were not immigration specific, but he continued to have great influence with the conservative membership. Offering strategy and encouraging backbone. Cruz and Sessions were on the same side on this issue. Opposite of Rubio.

Negative. The house version was a done deal. The only thing stopping it was Boehner taking repeated head counts to make certain it was a go. We quite literally were hours from it passing when Cantor lost his seat and the whole thing collapsed.
