The District Attorney will close the file that was opened against the police officer who was involved in the shooting of the âscissor terroristsâ which occurred in November near the Mahane Yehuda Shuk.
Moshe Nussbaum reported to Channel two news, that the decision was made taking into account the recommendation from the Internal Investigations Unit which stated that there was no room to indict the police officer as there is no way to determine criminal intent in his actions.
Previous Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, made the decision to open the file against the police officer. Weinstein claimed that firing at the scissor wielding teenager was unnecessary as she no longer posed a threat when the shots were taken.
During the investigation the officer stated that he warned the terrorists before he opened fire and that he had no way of knowing whether or not she possessed an explosive belt on her person. After taking the testimonies of bystanders who witnessed the event as well as video surveillance from nearby cameras, the Internal Investigations Unit decided to recommend closing the case...

My late sensei and brother-in-law warned us that it is highly dangerous to trust your adversary in a life-and-death confrontation. Just because she was brandishing scissors did not mean that she had no other lethal weapons. The officer deserves a medal. Former AG Weinstein was a left-leaning ass.
