A close finish for second place in South Carolina means nobody leaves. Just as importantly, Marco Rubio's decision to cut up Cruz personally, suggesting that Cruz is a nefarious crook and brutal manipulator, means that Cruz will never drop out and endorse Rubio; Rubio obviously won't do that for Cruz, either. ... Which spells a Trump nomination.

They don’t need each other’s endorsement. Id’ say most of their supporters have the other as second choice.
What they need is for one or the other to leave the race.

I’m not voting for either Rubio or Trump. Rubio is dishonest to the core and lies to voters to trick them into supporting him. Trump, well, Trump has anger management problems.
If they bring Cruz down with their lies then I’m voting for Roy Moore.
The problem with this kind of analysis is that for teh Trumpsters, should Trump come in third today (very unlikely), that would somehow prove that he’s on a roll and is the inevitable nominee, and everyone else should just quit now.
Rubio is not my second choice. I’d vote for Jeb before I’d vote for Rubio. Jeb at least is honest and respects the right of voters to choose based on facts, not lies.
Makes sense.

I'm inclined to agree. Rubio is the lying POS others in the race wrongly accuse Cruz of being.
It makes sense to about, oh, 5% of the voters. This is a season like no other. You cannot plop supporters into any generalization.
This Cruz supporter seriously can’t stand Rubio and would feel completely irresponsible supporting Trump. Neither will get my vote. If lies bring down Cruz then we get what the liars have brought us. That does not mean I will be party to any of it.

Regarding the circular firing squad that leaves Trump on top... good.
Given the trend, the RINOs will soon all drop out except one, which means Trump, Cruz and the consolidation RINO will remain. The total RINO vote will then exceed what Cruz can pull in, putting Cruz third.
If Cruz drops out though, then his voters will mostly shift to Trump. However, it’s likey that if Cruz stays in, the anti-establishment vote will be split and the RINO vote could exceed both Trump and Cruz at that point. Thus, if Cruz persists in a three-way race, the RINO could come out on top and it won’t matter whether the RINO or the Democrat wins the national election as they’ll both be members of the Uniparty. If that happens, we can thank Cruz for that.
However, a lot depends on how many delegates Trump can obtain in the early winner-take-all states: if he can get enough, then proportionate states might be able to power the consolidation RINO candidate over the top.

That’s odd; most of the rest of the paid Cruz-trolls said they would vote for the Democrat if Cruz loses.
Really a strange post. There is nobody in this campaign that lies more then Cruz. Rubio lies but he is a novice compared to expert liar Cruz. I am just stunned that you don’t see it.
