“So you chose to cling to the lie pumped out by the campaign bots rather then bother learning inconvenient facts that challenge your emotional dogmas?”

You really want to go there?

So how good a lawsuit do you think Donnie has for defamation, when all the ad does is spout the exact words of Donnie?

You do know that truth is a defense to defamation, right?

What is the lie?

Cruzbots have a bad habit of pushing DISINFORMATION because they are DESPERATE.

9 out 10 of these Pro Cruz very Anti-Trump posts end up after a short time being 1/2 TRUTHS or 100%5 COMPLETELY FALSE!

Again they are desperate and attempt to lie their way to victory in South Carolina. That’s their nature.

After all the Dirty Tricks in Iowa. Do you really trust this Canadian that’s been caught numerous times now?

“Two of the polls released in the last few days have Trump under 30% support and if you look at the real clear politics graph his support has been cratering over the past week. He still has a significant lead but he is trending down fast.”

I’m seeing the same thing you’re seeing. The Trumpbots are going to be disappointed tomorrow, because the poll numbers for Donnie are slipping.

Look for Cruz to surprise tomorrow. I don’t know if he can come all the way back, but a close second would deflate the Trump ego balloon.

“Conservatism died a long time ago.”

Great. Just give up.

I guess you’re fine with bending over and getting rammed from behind, but I’m not.

Conservative principles are worth fighting for, or we won’t have anything left of this nation.

Who is the only candidate advocating a reduction of LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRATION?

That "only candidate" is lying to you. This mass employer of low-skilled labor dependent upon a steady supply of illegal aliens plans to bring back the illegals "rapidly" as legal immigrants and future Democrats. In fact, if he ran for a second term, I'd bet it would be as the Slave Party candidate. He won't need you any more.

“Look, Cruzers have taken Trump’s comment about not ‘allowing people to die in the street’ as to mean he is for single payer. That is a lie.”

It’s not at all a lie. It’s a logical deduction based upon Trump’s own words.

Why is that so hard for you to accept?

So what are the conservative principles that animate you?

In speeches, Trump mostly implies that the ruling class conducts trade deals or the business of government stupidly and weakly, not villainously or out of personal pecuniary motives. But the message of his campaign is that America's interests have been betrayed by fools. The huge infrastructure of the conservative movement in Washington D.C. is aghast at Trump, and calls him an economic illiterate for threatening China with tariffs. They can't understand that this is not primarily an economic measure, but a nationalist one. It's a signal to voters that one man is here to fight for them, not to school-marmishly tell them that capitalism is helping them when in fact it manifestly helps others a lot more. Trump has attracted his coalition of supporters among those who are the most-weakly attached to the Republican Party as an institution.

What is so crucial to Trump's success, even within the Republican Party, is his almost total ditching of conservatism as a governing philosophy. He is doing the very thing Pat Buchanan could not, and would not do. And in this, he is following the advice of Sam Francis to a degree almost unthinkable. Here's the concluding flourish of Francis' 1996 essay: I told [Buchanan] privately that he would be better off without all the hangers-on, direct-mail artists, fund-raising whiz kids, marketing and PR czars, and the rest of the crew that today constitutes the backbone of all that remains of the famous "Conservative Movement" and who never fail to show up on the campaign doorstep to guzzle someone else's liquor and pocket other people's money. "These people are defunct," I told him. "You don't need them, and you're better off without them. Go to New Hampshire and call yourself a patriot, a nationalist, an America Firster, but don't even use the word 'conservative.' It doesn't mean anything any more."

Pat listened, but I can't say he took my advice. By making his bed with the Republicans, then and today, he opens himself to charges that he's not a "true" party man or a "true" conservative, constrains his chances for victory by the need to massage trunk-waving Republicans whose highest goal is to win elections, and only dilutes and deflects the radicalism of the message he and his Middle American Revolution have to offer. The sooner we hear that message loudly and clearly, without distractions from Conservatism, Inc., the Stupid Party, and their managerial elite, the sooner Middle America will be able to speak with an authentic and united voice, and the sooner we can get on with conserving the nation from the powers that are destroying it

What so frightens the conservative movement about Trump's success is that he reveals just how thin the support for their ideas really is. His campaign is a rebuke to their institutions. It says the Republican Party doesn't need all these think tanks, all this supposed policy expertise. It says look at these people calling themselves libertarians and conservatives, the ones in tassel-loafers and bow ties. Have they made you more free? Have their endless policy papers and studies and books conserved anything for you? These people are worthless. They are defunct. You don't need them, and you're better off without them.

“As I said upthread in another context, the FBI being unable to get that data should be considered the price of freedom.”

I agree with you.

Furthermore, I’ve never heard of a company being forced to take an affirmative act to obtain evidence that they don’t possess.

Where is the precedence for this?

This seems to be complete lunacy to me.

“Trumpers do not act on logic. They do not question anything. They operate on blind faith and almost cult-like devotion. All the reasoning, all the questioning, all the pointing out that their emperor has no clothes is completely lost on them. They operate on faith. An acceptance that just because they may not understand what he will do, or how impossible his promises may be, they still believe that he will do it.”

The Trumpers do not have a foundation in conservatism. They do not believe in conservatism at its core, so the fact he’s not conservative does not matter to them.

Yeah. It’s always a lie when you use Trump’s own words against him.

Imagine how despicable and dishonest that is!

Cruz has always said no illegals will ever be allowed to become citizens. I do not believe Trump has made that vow. So from what Trump says, it sounds like the illegals will have an ‘expedited’ process to come back if they’re ‘good.’ That sounds like they won’t be just coming back through normal immigration channels, but will get to jump the line.

You haven't a clue. I am talking about legal permanent immigrants. We bring in 1.1 million a year; 35 million since 1990. They are all future voters. 87% are minorities as defined by the USG. They vote Dem more than two to one. They are supporters of Big Government and more services. We are being colonized by the Third World. We could stop all illegal immigration tomorrow and the results will be the same. Wake up. Demography is destiny.

Only Trump is talking about reducing legal immigration back to historic levels, i.e., 200,000 a year from the current 1.1 million. Cruz says he will not increase the current levels.

“So what are the conservative principles that animate you?”

I believe in candidates that will stand up for the Constitution.

That starts with being a true pro-lifer who will appoint conservative, strict Constitutionalist judges. This will be the most important decision(s) our next President will have, and I don’t believe that someone who doesn’t have pro-life at his core will fight for this.

If we don’t appoint the right Supreme Court justice, you can forget about everything else, because our rights and liberties will go down the drain. A leftist Supreme Court will take everything away.

By the way, instead of just cutting and posting a diatribe that you could have summarized in two sentences, what do YOU really believe at your core?

He said that in an interview last year. But if you go back to 2011, Trump was for some kind of amnesty for the “good” ones without any talk of deporting them first.

http://www.foxnews.com/transcript/2011/03/30/donald-trump-sits-down-bill-oreilly/

Bill O’Reilly: Now, the 15 million illegal aliens already in the United States, what do you do with them?

Donald Trump: I think right now you’re going to have to do something. It’s hard to generalize, but you’re going to have to look at the individual people, see how they’ve done, see how productive they’ve been, see what their references are, and then make a decision.

Bill O’Reilly: All right, on a case-by-case-going to take a long time and a lot of people.

Donald Trump: A long time, but you know, you have some great, productive people that came.

You have to give them a path. You have 20 million, 30 million, nobody knows what it is. It used to be 11 million. Now, today I hear it’s 11, but I don’t think it’s 11. I actually heard you probably have 30 million. You have to give them a path, and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that.

During the Bush years I almost got banned on FR for talking about illegal immigration. Freepers called me a racist and hated on me.

Little by little the facts have become clear. I’m thrilled that Trump wants to build a wall and send the Syrians back. The straight talk, non-PC, is music to me. I believe him because he was bold enough to say it.
