Well, thank you for such a thoughtful, rational, and impressive response. You’ve actually given me much more insight into your thought process on this, and I appreciate it. You’ve actually thought this through a lot, and you have some interesting facts to back up your thinking.

I don’t agree with some of your conclusions, but you make some really good arguments. I’d like to continue my response in more detail when I have the time.

You haven’t change my mind about Cruz, because I think you’re selling him short, and I think he’s a known quantity whereas Trump is very much an unknown wildcard.

However, I appreciate the intellectual discussion.

Observations on Donald Trump's genuine Christian faith.


Disclaimer-1 : I am a Ted Cruz Florida campaigner.

Disclaimer-2 : My wife and I just spent the previous 30 minutes discussing all of the great points that Donald Trump offers.


So here we go.


Donald Trump proclaims that he rarely asks God for forgiveness.

Following the logic expressed this week by a South Carolina pastor ...

"Anyone doesn't ever ask God for forgiveness is NOT a Christian"


Jesus Christ's final words on Calvary's cross included ...

Father forgive them for they know not what they do ...


It follows that "forgiveness" is a pretty big deal.

That's just my two cents ...



P.S. Today is the South Carolina Presidential Primary.

Whatever his great/puzzling positions and excessive twitter tweets at 2 am ...

I staunchly believe that Donald Trump's entrance into the 2016 GOP Presidential campaign ...

is frankly a "divine miracle from God Almighty".

And I say that as a very loyal Ted Cruz supporter.

One of the really tragic things about Western Culture has been the slow loss and dilution of thos old stories. They taught our children the evils of the world to be avoided. Of particular value are Grimm's Fairy Tales and Uncle Remus. Both corpi have origins going back thousands of years. As a part of their education, I made sure both my girls got a serious introduction to both originals and not the adulterated modern pap. I'm happy to say that particularly Grimm's is seriously dog-eared.

For many years I have used "The Pied Piper" as an alanogy for a politician who means his people ill, for which Donald Trump is an iconic archetype.

A $6,800 deductible plus a minimum 15-day wait cuts it way down.

Basically, anybody would be better off getting cheaper care in Mexico.

They can easily do surgeries for less than $6,800 (plus one month’s premium) in Mexican hospitals.

As for drugs, I’m sure the Chinese can make them for a low price (and do so).
