I think that among illegal drugs, legalizing the least harmful and most popular one is the obvious place to start - and prudence dictates that we start with no more than that

Most popular. So that's what we'll go by? Hell, by that measure the Bolsheviks were most popular for awhile and considered least harmful as well.

Not quite sure I can agree with your faith on populism.

It's not about populism but about market impact: taking a big dollar count and an even bigger customer count away from the cartels.

What’s the next most popular, shall we legalize that? And keep going as usage increases? That’s your ultimate goal I know, total drugs.

Read much? I answered that in post #99: "prudence dictates that we start with no more than that [pot], and take time to learn whatever lessons come out of it. I'm inclined to suspect that the evidence will then be that further legalization is the way to go ... but only time and experience will tell."

That's your ultimate goal I know, total drugs.

As I said, my goal is to reduce the cartels to manageable strength; drug criminalization only fills their coffers.
