Have you read their site? Don’t think they are anti Cruz by any means. They don’t like his tax plan, but otherwise seem to be on board with him.

In fact, if you read the author’s personal blog, he addresses important libertarian topics like these:

…and then what about gay jews?

Yes, Spider-Man can still be black or gay

The anti-gay “Who cares?!?” trolls

Why is bisexual monogamy so hard to understand?

CPAC’s Most Fabulous Panel, or, Why you should embrace the gay right for what they are

The surprising connection between Tea Party and gay marriage

A surprising number of judges who rule for gay marriage are Republicans

I glanced at the site, then looked at the author’s libertarian viewpoints more closely on his personal blog.

Farce?

I'll tell what is a farce.

Allowing illegals to flood into this country.

Replacing middle-class jobs by abusing H-1B visas.

Making one-sided trade deals.

That is farce. And the GOPe and the Bush legacy played key roles in all of that.

Yet some call Trump speaking out against all of that farce.

It’s a gamble regardless of who we nominate and the Dems will play psyop games with us regardless of who wins. It’s also very likely that without DJT, we would be looking at Jeb Bush as our candidate. No thank you.

Irrelevant...she won’t be the nominee. Biden will.

“Clinton is all but assured the Democratic nomination, so her supporters would be better served casting ballots where they can be most effective.”
I wonder how many votes Hilary would be willing to have moved from her primary count to Trump’s?
My guess is zero. She remains the front runner and probably nominee, but she is wounded and needs to stop the bleeding. Any Hillary supporter that votes in the Republican primary this year is a fool (OK so they are fools anyway).

Latest poll for South Carolina has Clinton beating Sanders by 28%

She has that and the super-delegates. No way the Democrat party will let Sanders have the nomination. What they are doing is for show.

Bingo. Our government has been corrupted by “elites” who keep us arguing about ideologies, while they plunder us and turn us into a third world nation that will be more readily plunderable.

I just had a thought where most of our problems have roots in Ivy League group think, not Penn State or Arizona State. The idea that one must be indoctrinated by Ivy League to run our country is dangerous indeed.

And Nevada?
She needs to crush Sanders now before states with a less black electorate start registering votes again.

He seems like he’s the GOP version of the Democrats’ “O” candidate.
That is: Bluster, extremism (for the SAKE of extremism-and shock value); pandering to frightened and uninformed people ...etc.

He is as brash and irresponsible a representation of Republican extremists as “O” was/is a brash and irresponsible voice for Democratic extremists. I mean-he’s a minority OF a minority and it’s red meat for the MSM

Once in a while Trump actually says something that is “dead on” and I am OK with that... because (and let’s face it) he articulates things that other candidates are too cautious or timid to say.

90% of the country would say you are describing Pastor Ted. That’s not a path to electoral victory for Cruz. Sorry.

Doesn’t matter. The pinko is going to win all the liberal states the kenyan won in 2018. Hillary can’t do anything about it except try to win the big states, the south and super delegates and hope that is enough.

I would be concerned if Democrat voters were known to have high ‘intellect’, but as such, there’s no need to worry about any ‘Operation Chaos’ success from the LOW INFORMATION crowd.
In fact, they are ‘smarting’ themselves to utter and momentous shellacking in November!

stop with the anti-Trump CT. Fact is that aside from your anecdote, many of Trump’s (formerly) Democratic supporters are people who:

1. Might believe gays should have equal rights, but don’t believe that being gay should be promoted. It should be seen like being handicapped; not a moral failing or bad thing, but certainly not a good thing. Not something to be promoted, like MTV does (and has done for 20 years, see the show “Dismissed” for examples of this)

2. Believe in promoting equality of races, but not in promoting punishment of those who didn’t have it as hard. “White males” are not evil!

3. Believe in taking care of people, but don’t believe in socialism. Government can provide tools to facilitate upward mobility, not create an illusion of moving up because the rich are moved down (like Bolshevik Sanders wants to do).

4. Believe that women should have equal rights, not extra rights like being able to claim “rape” if the girl did consent but was voluntarily drunk, even tho if you voluntarily get behind the wheel and kill someone, you are responsible.

5. Believe that those with a Y-chromosome are males, those without are females. PERIOD.

6. Don’t trip all over themselves to call non-whites “people of color” or gays “LGBTs.”

7. Believe that while blacks may get treated unfairly be some individual officers (like Rubio said) at times, overall, the instituion of the police is a good thing and must be honoured. Black leaders like Sharpton need to do better jobs of telling their people to only dislike individual racists, not label the societal institution that keeps everyone safer than they’d be without “racist” as a whole.

There are many Trump Democrats out there. You need the nomination before you go for the general. Other GOP candidates would get no turnout whatsoever, especially Kasich, Christie, or Jeb!

Donald J Trump is the man to bring America together to make her great again!

Running around calling everyone who doesn’t love Ted Cruz a secret liberal seems to be his entire campaign platform at this point.

First off, welcome to FR. I see you've been here since mid-sept. It seems like there are a lot more newbies this election cycle than previously.

The article is pointing out Trump's base, not Ted Cruz. It is Trump who had an "overnight" conversion to conservatism, not Ted Cruz. It is Trump who has supported radical leftists most of his life, not Ted Cruz. It's not surprising that he would see a crossover vote from those who share his NY values, as well as those leftists that realize he can't beat hillary one on one.
