Why is media singling out Trump about the Pope's wall comment?
Cruz started saying in debates recently that he would build a wall. Of course he said it in his typically mealy-mouthed, weaselly way, but he said it, right? So should he not step up and point out that he's the target, also, of the Pope's words?

Mexico is home to some of the richest people in the world. Why not bring this point up that people in Mexico work for an average of $5 a day while huge corporations that have moved there get rich off of their backs.

The salient point here is this: The Pope knows that ONLY DONALD TRUMP will build a wall. Good point.

The ME, where Christianity arose, has always had tons of walls. Many, many walled family compounds and on up.
The Pope is a 'tard wrt walls (especially as he is apparently unaware that the Vatican has walls - Big Time).

shhhh, we’re not supposed to mention the Israeli wall, that’s sacred. A US wall is racist and evil, too expensive, and can’t be built, and wouldn’t be effective, don’tchaknow.

I’m with Trump on this one. Does this commie Pope ever stop to think, while he attacks capitalism, the rule of law, and Christian principles, that those very things are what made this country the place all these poor people want to run to?

The Pope has elevated Trump even further, just as 0bama’s talking about him does the same thing. Neither the Pope or 0bama have singled out any other candidate, because they know that none of the others stand much chance of winning, or if they did win, they know that they would just be business as usual, and nothing would change, and the open-borders crowd would be happy.

"not Christian" if he wants to address illegal immigration only by building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. I agree that we should not address illegal immigration only by building a wall... it needs to be mined, booby-trapped, and have 24/7 overwatch with interlinking fields of fire from crew served weapons.

Because they think that’s the way it should be, a few rich rulers and the peons. Our capitalist way allowed anybody to move up the ladder and succeed (I used past tense because it’s fading).

"A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian," he said...seems to me Trump also said something about there being a big door in that wall through which people could pass legally when qualified - I wonder if that's close enough to a bridge for the Pope.....

That man has no right to meddle in our political process. Ever.So he has no right to condemn abortion or gay marriage?
To: mandaladon
I have my doubts about Trump’s faith - but this was both A: out of line from The Pope and B: a great gift to Trump’s campaign.
I wish Trump, or someone, would ask the Pope if he’s ever condemned any of the Marxist Socialist Commie leaders he visits?
