(CNN)An explosion rocked the Turkish capital of Ankara on Wednesday evening, killing five people and injuring 10 others, Turkey's semiofficial Anadolu news agency reported, citing Ankara Gov. Mehmet Kiliclar.

The explosion happened as a convoy of military vehicles was passing by, Turkish state broadcaster TRT reported.

Video aired on CNN Turk showed large flames reaching toward the night sky from an area on the ground. Lights from numerous emergency vehicles flashed nearby. Who is Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan?

Definitive information about the cause of the blast wasn't immediately available. But Kiliclar said it "may have been caused by a car bomb," according to Anadolu.

Soner Cagaptay, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy think tank, said that if it was a bomb attack, suspects could include ISIS or the PKK, the Kurdish militant separatists that Turkey considers a terrorist group.

Just as I was reading today the Turks want to go in and attack the Kurds under the fig leaf of securing a humanitarian zone in Kurdish areas. The Turks are not blaming ISIS but the Kurds for this. Which makes me think this maybe a false flag to grant the Turks the excuse to attack the Kurds in Syria.

The Kurds are allied with both the USA and Russia. It is a dangerous WW3 pending situation.

The headline recalls anti-gun people speaking of guns shooting people.

False flag. This will be Erdogan's reason for bombing the Kurds. The Turks wouldn't blame their allies, ISIS.

Turkey should be thrown out of NATO and sanctions put on them for their war crimes against the Kurds.

and then

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Security sources told Reuters that “initial signs [indicated] that militants from Turkey’s outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were behind the Ankara bombing on Wednesday that killed at least 18 people”. This has not been confirmed.

How did the Turkish authorities know so fast it was the Kurds? Erdogan’s “Reichstag Fire" indeed.

I support the Greeks over the Turks. And Hitler was inspired in part to do the Holocaust by the way the Turkish genocide against the Armenians was ignored. And then there is the way they treat the Kurds. If karma exists, the Turks are screwed.

I have met many Turks , worked for them and met many Greeks and I trust the Greeks anytime over Turkey. Not one Turk I have met in my life have I ever trusted and they have no respect for women or Western ideas.

Islam makes Turks bad people. It makes anyone a bad person. Arab Christians are awesome people - Danny Thomas - Muslim Arabs? Not so good people.

=========================

The Kurds want their own country. UNFORTUNATELY that would mean Syria, Iran, Iraq and Turkey GIVING the Kurds some of THEIR land.
AIN'T never gonna happen.
The Kurds will continue to INSIST on their own country. It's a no-win for them but they don't care. They want what they want and to heck with the FOUR nations that WON'T give the Kurds land.

You KNOW that even if one of those countries gave the Kurds some land, it would NEVER be enough or GOOD enough and the Kurds would take up their fighting yet again. They WOULD want MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE. It would never end.
