Parents were not informed in advance, and many were angry. Experts say that the hijab is actually not an Islamic requirement. Officials at the World [High] School of Inquiry in Rochester, New York, spent a week this month fielding dozens of calls from parents angry about a "World Hijab Day" event that encouraged girls to wear the Muslim religious head covering. So reports EAGnews.org, the flagship website of Education Action Group Foundation, Inc. The "Hijab Day" was held in the school on the first Friday of this month, at the request of a sophomore who wears a hijab every day. The principal approved the idea, and teachers brought in 150 scarves for female students to try on and wear for the day. Boys were given carnations to wear in solidarity.
Little did the principal realize, for some reason, the backlash the idea would cause. "As a high school teacher for over 30 years, let me say that this is wrong on so many levels," Jim Farnholz wrote on his Facebook page. He elaborated: "All religions are taught in our global studies classes. That being said, that is where understanding, tolerance and the good and bad of religion and history are taught. This, however, is a clear violation of separation of church and state." The student who initiated the project – originally from Yemen – said, "We wanted [the students] to experience it and feel how we feel… I just feel proud that I"m sharing my culture..."

And the parents of children who attend this school in New York need to hold a "Whip an "education" bureaucrat's @$$ day" in response.
Better headline would be: New York school condones the mass slaughter of men, women and children sometimes in the most horrific manner devised. They support the mutilation and degradation of women. They’re all for worshiping some dead guy buried out in some desert. That’s what they’re announcing.
Every schoolgirl who shows up to school for World Hijab Day immodestly dressed ought to be stoned to death.
That will teach them all a lesson they won’t soon forget.

So what happens if they show up wearing a hijab made out of a Nazi flag? I mean after all, muslims love Hitler.

A few years ago; a young woman was on one of those news
shows dressed in an all-orange hijab and head covering.
She had every color hijab you could imagine with high heels
to match. It was a lark to her and the height of fashion.
I’ve wondered what happened to her when the fashion show
got old or when the imam decided to put a crimp in her
“colorful” outfits.
Not all cultures are equal. Not all cultures should be held in high esteem of even regarded as valuable.
A culture that promotes hatred against those who pray differently, a culture that allows, if not encourages, violence and murder, a culture that finds acceptability in subjugation and horrible treatment of women... NO one in their right mind should encourage experiencing this culture in any way.
