HANAHAN, South Carolina -- 2016 GOP presidential frontrunner Donald J. Trump tells reporters here that his pledge to support the eventual GOP nominee is now void because the Republican National Committee, along with local and state GOP factions, is stacking debate audiences with donor class officials.
"The RNC is in default," Trump said at the press conference. "Just so you understand, the RNC is in default. When somebody is in default, that means the other side can do what they have to do. The RNC is in default."
Trump's point is that the RNC has defaulted--through its actions against his candidacy--on the pledge he signed earlier in the cycle, and his point is that because they have defaulted he can do whatever he wants.

And when Trump splits and takes all his voters, HRC or Sanders wins the election.
Maybe that was the plan all along. And then the irony of it all is all those here who votes for a 3rd party will,in effect, vote for the socialists. See ya all in the camps. We will make sure you get a spot by the door.
He isn’t going to bolt. He is going to win SC. This is theatre.
How is Ted Cruz not “playing to win?” He has ground games in states no one is even talking about yet.
Trump & McAfee are the only candidates who appeared on the Alex Jones Show.
In defending Jones, Jones has more viewers than CNN or MSNBC.
what did 3rd graders ever do to you? :)
This guy can not stand criticism. None. He can only tolerate worship.
Here I thought it was the third graders who stacked the audience cause they were so afraid of real peoples’ reactions.
No, I think this means that Donald Trump is about to slice up the RNC and rip the stinking entrails out of it for all to see.
“Trump bad! Hulk smash!”
There’s no nuance to you at all is there?
What if Cruz overtakes him and wins most the primaries and Trump loses fair and square?
I can see if the Trump trounces through the primaries and the RNC denies him the nomination. But if he just loses, will he run third part and essentially help elect Hillary?
The RNC when Trump announced, made him sign a pledge to stay with the Republican Party, also had other candidates pledge they would support who ever got the nomination, and since Trump is self supporting his own campaign, he doesn’t have to answer to super packs, lobbyist, or special interest group so therefore he can go ‘third party’ if he chooses to do so, but I think he will stay in the Republican Party to re build it....
GO.TRUMP.GO!!!
This is called “negotiation.” Watch and learn, kiddies. Watch and learn from the master. - Jimbo
Means either Hillary or Bernie will be POTUS. As usual, pride is killing the conservative movement and this time around, killing what is left of the shreds of the USA and it once upon a time Constitution.
There won’t be a brokered convention.
Trump is going to walk in with so many delegates the GOPe won’t have even a shadow of a chance to do something like that.
You want nuance? Read a book written by Obama.
Can you imagine if a person yelled out Trump is a pussy?
His head would explode! LoL!
IMHO, it’s possible that Trump is preparing the groundwork to run with Bloomberg as a “3rd Party” candidate, if things don’t go his way.

I also meant to say that IF THIS HAPPENS (not likely, I think the odds are that Trump will make it to the convention and has a good chance of being the Republicans’ candidate) then .... say hello to the Hillary and/or Sanders presidency and say hello to the Hillary or Sanders Supreme Court. And thus will our Republic wither away and die.
Running third party was always the plan.
No way those two run together.
