The church, which is the worldwide head of the Anglican Communion, tweeted well-wishes for Dawkins, 74, and his family on Friday night, writing, âPrayers for Prof Dawkins and his family.â
âThe tweet was a prayer,â he wrote. âNothing controversial in that.â
Despite intending no ill will in sending the tweet, Arora said that a row quickly unfolded, with some claiming that the Church of England was âtrollingâ Dawkins over his illness. In the end, Arora said that the reactions made it apparent that there is profound confusion prayer.
âWhat is clear in some of the responses is a misunderstanding of what prayer is, who does it and who it is for,â he wrote, going on to offer up a lesson about the power of invocations.
âPrayer is for everyone,â Arora wrote. âSome of the twitter reaction assumed that Christians only pray for other Christians. In fact Christians pray for all kinds of people. They pray for their friends and families. They pray for their community.â
Are there any other religions which pray for someone like this when they get seriously ill?
It’s the retardation of the left in this case.
Could prayer possibly hurt him? No.
These idiots just love being offended for no good reason.
My this brush with death turn Richard Dawkins heart back to his Creator, God our almighty Father. My he and his followers see the Light, and come to tJesus. Amen.
His wife is the actress Lalla Ward, who played the Time-Lord (Lady?) Romana on “Doctor Who”. She was also briefly married to Tom Baker.

Prayers for Atheist Richard Dawkins After His Stroke Sparked Outrage
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I didn’t realize his stroke sparked outrage
So we pray for their guy who is ill. They get mad.... One of our guys die, and they celebrate? Oh yeah, they are the party of peace and love... at least on their lips for hate is in their heart and it shows.
Atheists get so tied up in knots over prayer, it’s like they think it’s some sort of magic spell or something, a reflexive recoiling that should not occur if they’re really certain that there’s no deity of any kind.
Lala Ward?
I thought he was married to Mr. Garrison.
I just put him and all atheists on my prayer list.
