Trump Dominates Debate On Twitter

The real estate mogul is responsible for 40 percent of the conversation during the CBS debate from Greenville, S.C., according to data obtained from Twitter. Jeb Bush accounted for 20 percent of the conversation, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) at 14 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) at 13 percent, Ben Carson at 8 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) at 5 percent.

...

Trump also gained the most Twitter followers of all presidential candidates, followed by Rubio, Kasich, Democratic contender Hillary Clinton who wasn't on stage, and Ted Cruz.

...

The top three moments on Twitter all centered around the social media-savvy Trump.

The most tweeted moment was Trump calling Jeb Bush "so weak on illegal immigration that it's laughable."

The next most-tweeted moment happened during the back and forth between Trump and Cruz over their conservative credentials. "You are the single biggest liar," Trump yelled at the Texas senator.

The third biggest moment was Trump's criticism of the George W. Bush administration and 9/11. Jeb Bush defended his brother's record, saying he kept the U.S. safe.

But Trump fired back. "How did he keep us safe when the World Trade Center went down?"

AMAZING!!! Simply YUGE! My DH was driving me crazy telling me Trump was simply awful...something I DID NOT WANT TO HEAR. Without Trump, the debate would not have been as thought provoking, lively and interesting. It would have been nothing new, nothing exciting, and sleeping material. They took the gloves off and assumed their positions to come out fighting. Thanks for the most interesting results as to who might have actually won. Certainly can’t find these facts on the network stations.

Oh? And why would a man who has taken liberal position on the issue all his life NOT choose a “moderate”from the DC circuit? He knows that if he wins, that it won’t have been conservatives who make the difference.

Your right to bear arms is the law of the land. A judge could never take it away.

If you are not crazy or convicted criminal,it can only be done by Constitutional Convention.

You may not remember but we were engaged in May and June with the US plane that CHINA forced down. Further, the mindset in the Pantagon was that of China the next big opponent. Have you not wondered WHY the military had no planes in position to defend either NYC or Washington?

I think George W. Bush is a good man, and I agree he kept the nation safe after the 9/11 attacks.

...

If W gets the credit for the safety after 9/11, he should get the blame for the attacks, too.

My thoughts exactly. The constitution dies with Antonin Scalia if this Senate allows an 0bama appointee to replace him. The next President won’t matter at all.

Well actually your right to bear arms is an inalienable right. The government does not give you that right nor can it take away that right.

Even if Trump took a hard left he would not nominate a liberal judge. He’s a capitalist, free-market billionaire who loves his guns and can’t conform to political correctness.

But aside from that I don’t see this liberal Cruz and Rush are painting. I’ve looked at older interviews and even more recent before he announced. At his worst he wasn’t all passionate about pro-choice. Said he hates it, hates to even talk about it. Most of his conservative positions haven’t changed, always pro 2nd amendment, always free market, anti -regulation, etc. Look at the man and don’t listen to his enemies.

Bush has been in office for 8 months. It takes a year or more to get an administration filled staffed with political appointees.Add to this that Bush had lost a full month because of the election controversy. Rumsfeld is a hard charger but he was still trying to gain control of the Pentagon. If you think that was a snall matter, it took Nixon two years to figure out that the Air Force and Navy were ly ing about the effectiveness of their air attacks. And add this: Butterfield, the guy who told about the tapes, may have been a plant. An ex-naval intelligence officer.

I remember China.

We had planes, but what were we going to do with them? Shoot down an airliner?

That brings me to Shanksville. Was listening to the scanners during 9/11. I heard the State Police chatter about the plane being told to put down or be shot down. Shortly after the plane nosedived into a farm field.

What should the story have been? By this time the authorities knew what was going on. Should the story have been brave passengers stopped the hijacking or the unmentionable?

Just something I have thought about over and over again. I was not the only one that heard it on ham chatter.

I liked George W. but lost respect for him when he allowed the Hussein Obama bunch trash him daily...never once answered, said he was respecting the Office of POTUS...

When someone can stand up and defend them selves that is all it took for me to say...NO MORE BUSH'ES ...WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH.THE ENTIRE FAMILY HAS LIVED POLITICS ALL THEIR LIVES AS HAS THE CLINTON TRIBE...AND I FOR ONE AM SICK AND TIRED OF LYING POLITICIANS...

Donald J. Trump has rough edges...but that is him, I will support him for the ideas he has bought forth, can't be any worst that Hussein Obama has been and hey...give him four years if he doesn't do as he says, then get some one else..

I'm also ashamed of the GOP and RNC and was at one time a supporter of both organizations...NO LONGER...AND AFTER BEING A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN FOR 55 YEARS. I WILL SWITCH TO INDEPENDENT AFTER THE 2016 PRIMARY. I DIDN'T LEAVE THEM, THEY LEFT ME...

“Trump can also play the Iraq War card against Hillary, and keep bashing her with it.”

He can hang the Arab Spring around her neck. Libya, Egypt, Syria, Morocco.

The murder of Khaddafi, who at the time had been turned into a US asset.

The nurture and encouragement of Al Qaeda and even ISIS.

The disgusting punishment of Sgt. Charles Martland who dealt with ongoing war crimes committed by an ‘ally’.

He can address the security nightmare of her tossing US security documents into the ether, while screeching for the head of Edward Snowden.

On and on and on.

And each and every one of the Republican system submissives would at most mewl about her performance being deficient, but still respect her ‘service’.

Trump will cause her to stroke out, literally. Eye’s bulge, veins pop, tongue pop out and stuttering infarction.

I’m sick of GOP castrati clerks and empty suits begging votes then holding office like inert filler material. To paraphrase Lincoln re US Grant, we cannot spare this man; he fights.

And what about the plane that went into the pentagon?Do you think it was shot down? As for Shanksville, can you find me a witness that says that the plane was on fire? An air to air would have done to that plane what was done to the plane in the Ukraine.

I agree with all you said. I was a Bush supporter (mostly. expansion of government was a no no). All of those things happened, however that does not negate the incident happened on his watch. Further, 19 Saudi nationals were involved in the action. We should have distanced ourselves from them. There is no way that the Royal Family was unaware of the plot.

No.

The plane by most witness reports and flight controllers was not at cruising altitude.

I don’t know, those really smart people on CBS and FOXNEWS said Trump is done this time!

Of course Rubio, Kasich, and Jeb! had the best nights according to these very smart smart people.
