Clinton hits Scott Walker in his home state

"While you took big speaking fees, we froze tuition 4 years in a row to make college affordable. #DemDebate," Walker tweeted, addressing Clinton directly.

Hillary Clinton scored points with the Wisconsin Democratic debate audience by attacking the state's governor, Republican Scott Walker.

Clinton criticized presidential rival Bernie Sanders's plan for free college tuition as unworkable, saying it depended on Republican governors like Walker.

"Sen. Sanders's plan really rests on making sure that governors like Scott Walker contribute $23 billion on the first day to make college free," Clinton said.

"I'm a little skeptical about your governor actually caring enough about higher education to make any kind of commitment like that."

The Milwaukee crowd of Democrats applauded her attack on Walker, who has cut education funding during his governorship.

Democrats and labor groups have been tough critics of Walker, who is known for his hard-line stances against government spending and public sector unions.

Walker, a former Republican 2016 presidential candidate, fired back in real time on Twitter.

"While you took big speaking fees, we froze tuition 4 years in a row to make college affordable. #DemDebate," Walker tweeted, addressing Clinton directly.

Feb 11, 2016 Clinton Foundation was subpoenaed

The State Department's Office of Inspector General issued a subpoena to the Clinton Foundation last fall as part of an investigation into projects that may have required federal approval during Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of State, according to The Washington Post.

The subpoena asked for records related to longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who for several months in 2012 was simultaneously employed by the Clinton Foundation, the State Department and a private consulting firm with ties to the Clintons.

June 2015: Trying to Kill Tenure [Gov. Scott Walker's state budget]

It's been a tumultuous year for faculty members within the University of Wisconsin System, from threats to the Wisconsin Idea to a proposed $300 million budget cut to Governor Scott Walker's suggestion that professors do more work to compensate for the slash.

But many professors and other observers said the roller coaster hit a new low Friday afternoon when the state Legislature's powerful Joint Finance Committee approved, by a vote of 12-4, the elimination of tenure from state statute, along with adding new limits to the faculty role in shared governance and procedures for eliminating faculty members in good standing outside of financial exigency.

Members of the committee said the changes -- proposed in a budget motion -- would give Wisconsin public institutions the flexibility needed to deal with the budget cut, which they also voted to reduce to $250 million over two years from $300 million. But others interpreted the motion as an attack on tenure and the traditionally strong system of shared governance in the state, which they said will cost the university system and the state in the long run.

May 2015: With membership now voluntary, Wisconsin AFSCME forced into big cutbacks

"Governor Scott Walker and the GOP-controlled state legislature freed government employees from involuntary forced union membership, enabling them to choose or not choose to pay dues. The results have shown that roughly two-thirds have not chosen union membership when given the opportunity. And that has meant big cutbacks for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), one of the most left wing and biggest political contributors to Dempcrats among American unions.

[snip]

Keep in mind that AFSCME was founded in Wisconsin, the state that was the birthplace of the Progressive political movement. Thus, the rejection of forced union membership is doubly painful. And it is already painful for the union bosses:

[snip]

No mention is made of political donations by the unions, but in the past AFSCME has been a major source of money and manpower for the Democrats. That racket is now ending for workers in Wisconsin, and one of Scott Walker's strongest appeals will be to extend these reforms nationwide."

March 2015: Obama slams Walker on right-to-work law

"....Obama does not mention Walker by name or the term "right to work" in his statement, but it is a clear reference to the legislation the possible 2016 GOP candidate signed into law on Monday. The new law makes it so that unions are unable to collect mandatory fees from workers who are not union members, but work for a unionized employer....

Walker issued a statement on Monday night saying that the Freedom to Work law "put[s] power back in the hands of Wisconsin workers by allowing the freedom to choose whether they want to join a union and pay union dues."...

June 2011: Months into 1st Term Walker Revokes In-state Tuition For Undocumented Students Attending Univ And Colleges In Wisconsin

Ashwaubenon - On Sunday, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) signed his two-year 2011-2013 budget, which included ending in-state tuition for undocumented students attending public universities and colleges. In-state tuition for undocumented students was approved two years ago by former Governor Jim Doyle (D) after the Hispanic community struggled for 10 years to pass it."...

How can something that is "free" cost $23 billion?

Has anyone ever demonstrated that increasing school funding (paying teachers unions more) actually improves education?

It seems the opposite is closer to the truth.

I'm sure that Scott Walker would have no problem working such a scant sum of money into the budget.

Bill Clinton is 69.

Hillary is 68.

The Clintons have been married for 40 years.

Bill Clinton was Arkansas AG '77 -'79; Arkansas Gov '79-'81 and '83 -'92; U.S. President '93 -'01

Hillary Clinton was Arkansas' First Lady '79 -'81 and '83 - '92; U.S. Senator (NY) '01 -'09; U.S. Secretary of State '09 - '13

USA Today estimated in 2013 that Bill Clinton had a net worth of $55 million and counting. The former president makes millions of dollars a year in speaking fees. More recent estimates put his net worth at $80 million and he and wife Hillary Clinton's combined net worth anywhere from $100 to $200 million.

Charity Navigator Bill Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation - Arkansas

"We had previously evaluated this organization, but have since determined that this charity's atypical business model can not be accurately captured in our current rating methodology. Our removal of The Clinton Foundation from our site is neither a condemnation nor an endorsement of this charity. We reserve the right to reinstate a rating for The Clinton Foundation as soon as we identify a rating methodology that appropriately captures its business model."....

But of course it was PBS Gwen and Judy Woodruff moderators..and they are real Clinton butt ki$$ers. and isn't it our TAX DOLLARS THAT SUPPORT PBS?

CLINTON had her answers to well prepared, proof that once again the questions given to the Clinton's in advance.

Pray daily the FBI indicts this woman...We can not survive with them back in control...they are EVIL...

Nothing Hillary would like better than a Big Fat State Funeral to help her election chances.

I wonder how many of those 2016 Super Delegates [Democrat Party machine elite], that have already pledged to Hillary, will begin withdrawing their support ("super delegates" can do that).

Justice Department Donations Heavily Favor Democrats

"Numerous employees at the Justice Department have donated to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats, causing critics to wonder if the Department can be impartial about the need to pursue charges against Clinton for her use of an insecure private email server.

Critics have raised concerns in recent days over whether Attorney General Lynch's contributions could prove to be troublesome in terms of conducting an investigation free from bias. The donations in question took place between 2004 and 2008 and totaled $10,700 given to Democratic candidates, including $4,600 to then-Sen. Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.

According to a review of donations made by those who listed their employer as the "U.S. Department of Justice" or "Department of Justice," Clinton has received $26,151 in contributions since declaring her candidacy. That is nearly half of the overall $55,201 in donations given by DOJ employees to date for the 2016 elections.

DOJ employees have given $47,501 to Democratic candidates over the last ten months, or 86 percent of the $55,201 in donations on record. The amount does not include money that was sent to committees or Super PACs.

Republican candidates, by comparison, have received just $7,700 in contributions from Justice Department employees."...

Critics pounce on Lynch's campaign donations

....."In addition to the contributions, critics note that Lynch was appointed to a previous job as U.S. attorney by Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton. They also point to comments Obama made last year that they say appear to prejudge the outcome of the inquiry."....

Pressure on Lynch to step aside in Clinton email probe

......"That Hillary Clinton could be the Democrat nominee and potential next president represents an extraordinary circumstance that commends the appointment of a special counsel," said Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), the head of the House Oversight subcommittee on national security, in a statement to The Hill. "For a Democrat-appointed attorney general such as Lynch, this is obviously something that distinguishes the Clinton investigation from other cases."....

Add to that the idiots in the Federal Reserve and other banking manipulators who know, as we do, that money doesn't grow on trees. That's silly. It's make believe stuff the Federal Reserve creates with a wave of their magic wand.

What nobody is saying is that "free public colleges" will be controlled by the feds, just as the gov is doing with pre-college education. It makes getting a decent education impossible when the feds make the decisions.

Scott Walker is GOPe is primarily show and has NOT delivered for the people of Wisconsin. He is polarizing, divisive, and certainly not popular in Wisconsin.

He is part and parcel of the GOPe, thick as thieves with Priebus, Ryan, and Rove.

If you are not a big corporate executive campaign contributor, a K Street lobbyist, or a member of the Country Club, the GOPe does not care about you.

Right.. just plunk down $23 billion in nonexistent funds. One would think the “world’s smartest woman” would know states don’t have the “luxury” of running up debt year on year.

Dumbassed old hag.

I lived in Wisconsin during the recall. Walker is "unpopular" with the right people, and his actions on the budget, government unions, gun rights, voter ID, mining and taxes madd him the most active and successful governor I have seen in my lifetime. For a man so "unpopular" to win three elections in four years with national resources from the left thrown in to drive up the vote on their side, and bus in when necessary.

You must not be from Wisconsin.

Your bombastic comment calls everything you’ve previously posted into question.

Scott Walker is not popular with those who work for the government, those supported by the government and misanthropes like the denizens of the Democratic Underground.

Governor Walker is no longer a candidate in the Presidential election; you can stop grinding that axe now. You are so far off base you’re not even in the ballpark anymore. Scott Walker is the best governor Wisconsin has had in my lifetime.
