Almost everywhere I go when I mention Cruz to someone they chuckle and change the subject with some distaste. I’m not trying to be a d_ck, just saying what I observe - and I talk to a lot of diverse people.
And that includes my church congregation I might add.
The media has done a very effective job of marginalizing Cruz except for those who truly believe him, and in him. That is also why I feel that his chances at winning the general would be almost nonexistent.
Then the ads (his own ads) merely reinforce people’s notions of Ted. The revival tent preacher telling you that you’re going to burn in hell routine might fly in some places, but not many.
The only place I find real support is here.
JMHO.
You are not wrong. The average republican voter is not going to go for Cruz. He’s too conservative and for some reason they just don’t find him likeable. I personally think he’s likeable just not able to win a general election and IMO not as qualified as Trump.
I've gotten a couple of puzzled looks too.
Some chuckle about Trump, but they also say he's really shaking things up and they don't seem to dismiss him..
Among my family, we'll all pretty much Cruz, but we're all enjoying having Trump in the race.
That's just an observation from my neck of the cornfield.
