Jeb Bush admits that the reason he supported the Denver Broncos over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 was because Peyton Manning donated to his presidential campaign.
Wednesday during a town hall event in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Bush claimed, âAnd Peyton Manning in the NFL I guess is adult in the room, right? So I kind of like that position these days, I never thought I would be the adult in the room.â
âNow we just saw the Super Bowl, I know that you all probably, maybe had some leanings to Carolina,â Bush said. âI was for Denver not because of the Broncos but because Peyton Manning gave me â wrote me a check.â
And how much was that check worth? $2,700.

This is so not an issue. All the problems I have with Jebby, this isn’t one of them
Peyton a Bushie!
Breaks my heart — I don’t know..maybe the HGH was impacting his judgement.
its nice to know how much it costs to buy Jeb...
Another politician for sale
“Just to be clear, I am for sale.” ~ jeb
Trump or Cruz needs to jump all over that one. If Jeb can be bought off with donor checks what will he do for lobbyists?
I need to axe this question of yeb?. Why would any politician in SC bring up the subject of the Carolina Panthers losing the Super Bowl and then offer that you were rooting for the opposition, BECAUSE of campaign donation. WTF?
I rooted for Manning. In college the Gators beat him 4 years in a row, such fun.
Newton and Trump are mirror images of each other, both think they are the most important people in the world and both have temper tantrums and show their emotional immaturity if not worshiped.
Oh Lord!
Peyton Manning donated money to JEB.
Now we must hate and despise Peyton Manning. And by association, the Denver Broncos.
I was thinking the same thing. That boy ain’t right. I really think there is something wrong with him, other than the obvious.
Yeb! has never been the adult in the room, even when he is in a room alone.
Peyton has clearly taken too many shots to the head.
People with a net worth of $165 million support candidates for different reasons than the rest of us.
Well I guess we’ll just have to take his word for that.
That rooting for the Broncos will not endure him to the voters in South Carolina.
Oh, for crying out loud.
I don’t particularly like the idea of Jeb Bush for President, but holy crap!
He was joking. Not a particularly good joke, and delivered in his usual inept style, but it was a joke.
I tell you, I’ve been on this forum for a relatively long time, and I’ve seen periods of insanity come and go, but this jumping on every conceivable, mostly-concocted news story to prove or disprove various candidates’ elect-ability is really lame.
