It is not the wages it is the work rules the unions have gotten

I worked on a GE project in Schenectady in the 1970s

The pipe fitters were making a connection that had to be done with GE workers

four pipe fitters and one doing the welding.

GE is long gone form Schenectady and the city looks like Detroit

GE and Ford signed these contracts it there fault

I agree with you. This is not Ford’s fault. This is the federal government’s fault. It is due to over taxation, over regulation, and a refusal to control their own spending. Their malfeasance has made labor in the US overpriced. They have shown by their actions that this country is not their primary concern. Had it been, they would have long ago reduced their spending and the tax burden to a point where it is preferable to employ Americans than it is to outsource to foreign countries. America first. America is not even in the federal government’s top 10.
