It is not the wages it is the work rules the unions have gotten

I worked on a GE project in Schenectady in the 1970s

The pipe fitters were making a connection that had to be done with GE workers

four pipe fitters and one doing the welding.

GE is long gone form Schenectady and the city looks like Detroit

GE and Ford signed these contracts it there fault

It is neither. It is NAFTA and the other FTA's that made it profitable for Ford and everyone else to outsource manufacturing. Ford makes plenty profit off of vehicles produced in the US. They just make more if they do it in Mexico now that goods coming in from there are no longer tariffed at a reasonable rate.

Nothing more than blind greed and vindictiveness at work.
