Might be misleading as they changed the way the unemployed are counted several times I believe. In the 20s &30s if you were not working you were counted as unemployed - total number of able bodied divided into number of same working = rate
Of course, if you trust your government not to play with the numbers and to report honestly, then, well, the data must be correct ...

If Trump create an atmosphere were most of those folks find jobs, he will have financed everything he wants to do.
If he taps into welfare and gets those people off their duffs...
Yikes.

And if Trump (or whomever is our next president) gets all the discouraged folks back into the workforce we may end up with a negative unemployment number based on Zerobama’s fraudulent formula.
“Third quarter unemployment surged to a resounding -3.6% according to the latest numbers from the administration. This nearly matches the -3.64% number from the beginning of the year.”
To: Two Kids' Dad
Yes, we could have -10% unemployment for the first time.
LOL

The unemployment numbers are only down because it is an election year. The RATS that control the board are also controlling the gas prices as well. That way in the late summer the RAT candidate will say, “Look at what my party did for the gas prices and the unemployment, where as the republicans had high unemployment and gas prices.” and the voters will believe them.
