ERBIL, Iraq – They witnessed the slaughter of their families on Mount Sinjar, and then were forced by ISIS into sexual slavery. Now the “Sun Ladies†are ready to fight - for veangeance as well as survival.
Some 2,000 Yazidi women who were captured in the brutal August 2014 attack on their mountain stronghold have escaped and have taken up arms against their former tormentors. Driven by the fresh memories of unspeakable atrocities and the survival of their people, hundreds have signed up to fight the black-clad terrorist army.

I keep hearing about these women fighters but I never hear about them doing anything!
I hope lots of ISIS members are captured and these women are given wrenches and shears and anything else they want to exact revenge.
I love that Russia is crushing them since we wont.

The world is a complex thing and it’s hard to find saints in it on the national stages.
It still shouldn’t take too terribly much for someone like Donald Trump (should he make the presidency) and Russia to come to some kind of collaboration agreement. Obama apparently won’t do it, more than token attacks, because he’s the one who wants to be known as standing against the “ugly political winds.” Trump (or Cruz) would have no such compunctions. Trump might have an edge in being able to work a deal with Putin, based on issues and self-interests rather than about Kabuki politics.

It would be quite a witness. Keep in mind, I would suggest, that sometimes the Lord lays out plans on a broader time scale than we can see. If we can see like a Calvinist for a moment (seeing like an Arminian helps with understanding other points of view, to be sure) — the Lord knows whose ducks He has set up in a row for future faith in His Son, and will send angels to help “those who will inherit internal life” (this is square from the bible). The women may come into a Christian faith community in the future and if so, God already knows it.
oops, rather than internal life I meant to say Eternal life (though that will be internal to them too, moving them to do things of which they otherwise would fall shy of the capability).
