With the hours counting down until the New Hampshire primary, tensions between the Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush campaigns are intensifying.
On Sunday afternoon, Bush campaign manager Danny Diaz convened top aides for an afternoon conference call in which he told them to expect "dirty tricks" from the Rubio campaign in the run-up to voting here, according to one source on the call.
The source said Diaz, a hard-charging veteran operative, was not more specific.

Bush is as desperate as Cruz.
Well, as much as I hate to admit it - I think Yeb is right - those Microsoft machines are a problem.
Why not watch for dirty “dirty tricks” from all campaigns?? This sounds like more of an effort to frame or make up one to accuse opponent of. But I like Cruz. The worst tricks come from those in power eg Clintons.
Projecting again, Mr. Bush?
I can only imagine what Karl Rove has been stirring up in his secret cauldrons down in the Bush Bunker Basement.
“Be careful of the Rubots! They look human, but like fallout 4 synths, they will infiltrate and kill us all!”
There arent many jobs left in America, but can you imagine any as useless as “bush campaign manager?!?” Ha! Not exactly a resume enhancer —
When are these clowns going to start talking about issues that matter? The destruction of the private sector of the economy? Abortion? Our rogue Supreme Court? Blacks’ being their own worst enemies? Out-of-control immigration?
Why would Cruz be desperate? He’s winning!
What a great vid. Not only dirty tricks, but dirty tricks among midgets. Apropos.
Agreed.
It just happens in this case, Cruz made two errors in 72 hours, all in IOWA. The first one solidified the poop storm for the second.
I guess we could say three errors, when you see that the second error was timed to occur literally in the caucus gathering.
If timing is everything, then this was really a time bomb.
I believe Cruz was feeling very threatened, in IOWA. I also believe even his internal polling showed there was reason to feel a threat.
Given the two unforced errors that occurred there, I believe he was desperate enough.
All the polls argued against the certainty of the Cruz victory.
TRUMP led stubbornly in the polls right up to the hour of trial.
That ridiculous style of a mailer was thought to be uncharacteristically heavy handed for a guy who was expecting to bag IOWA. But for those pesky polls Cruz might not have made such an exhibition of his nerves.
The mailer was an embarrassment, and worse, it made possible for observers to see for themselves that all was not peaches with the ever prayerful Cruz team.
By the time the real scandal came along, occurring inside the caucuses no less, it became quite believable that Ted would go further than any other campaign to get what he wanted, regardless who was hurt.
Cruz’ real error was messing with likable Carson, whom Evangelicals were just as fond of, but whose campaign was in real trouble. They didn’t like it.
Worse, Cruz looked like a vulture on a carcass, because Carson was already wounded in the polls.
Just sayin’ , Vet. :)
Cruz won. That’s the headline. And it won’t be the last time. You heard it here first.
Seems like Democrats and the GOPe have discovered voter fraud... after saying it didn’t exist all these years...
