HBO's "Real Time" host Bill Maher wondered why the way women are treated in the Muslim world isn't more of a cause for feminists during an interview with author and activist Gloria Steinem on Friday.
Maher asked, "Why aren't the way women are treated in the Muslim world considered more of a feminist cause?" Steinem responded that it is a feminist cause, and that women in the Muslim world consider their treatment a feminist cause.
After she added, "All monotheism is a problem." Maher responded, "Yes, but not quite as much." Steinem then said that the problem is "Islam being attached to the government." And all theocracies are a problem.
Maher then pointed to the "40 countries" with Sharia Law and how women are treated as a result of such law. Steinem responded that she doesn’t like any monotheism, and pointed to feminists in the Islamic world who are pushing back against radicalism using the words of Mohammed.

So IOW, Steinem couldn’t bring herself to actually criticize Islam, but beat around the bush.
Typically far leftist, this woman has always been about politics. Look at her bio, hardly an accomplishment worth noting, just associations with one extremist political “cause” after another.
And yet some want to credit her with equality under the law and fairness. If people like her all had their way we’d be living in concentration camps.
Who cares if women are turned into sex slaves and beaten? Just as long as they have access to free abortion services then all is good! /s
Pretty amazing that ideology is more important than reality for such people.

Because “feminists” hate women and men like they hate true femininity, masculinity. The Left, like Satan himself, hates God and the people He made.
Leftists also don’t make a big deal out of how gays, Christians and any infidels or Jews are treated in the islamic relm.
This perfectly illustrates their whole agenda is phony and has been so from the beginning.
This is one of the rare days when I agree with that putrid guy.

Gloria Steinem is the epitome of the establishment. She has admitted that the CIA funded MS Magazine. Nicholas Rockefeller told his friend Aaron Russo that the Rockefeller Foundation was behind women’s liberation in the 1960s because only half the population was being taxed.
Nah. She needs to plan a trip to Afghanistan or Iran to fight for womens rights. I’m sure she’d get a “warm” reception. How irrelevant is this piece of crap anyway? Uh, real. Hey, she could take susan saranwrap with her.

Islam is undeniably the most mysogynistic ideology known to man, but leftists will not criticize it because they want to use it to destroy Western Civilization.
What they don’t realize is the alligator isn’t going to eat them last.
More and more I think this is true. Virtually every "feminist" I've ever known has been a vindictive, hypocritical, secretive, hate-filled maniac. ALL these terminally angry women have smoked the same bad sh!t - many, many times.
What Islam does to women is terrible. And if “feminism” and socialism manage to wipe out what is left of Christian morality in the West- the women left in the cesspit that follows would envy muslim women who are at least sometimes appreciated for their ability to give birth to sons.
A fully decadent West with a social darwinist mindset will view women only as a weaker resource to be manipulated without the respect that Christianity gained for them. See most local high schools for a foreshadow of what might come, save for possible repentance divine intervention.
Steinem’s claim to fame is that she LOVES abortion, I mean really really loves abortion. If she could create a national holiday for abortion she would do it. She loves killing babies, she said her crowning achievement was that she aborted her baby
