And those kids will vote for Bernie.
Professors are paid too much for too little work. They need to work longer hours for less pay and they need fewer College Administrators and the ones they have need thrir salaries and perks cut. Every other segment of the economy has had to tighten their belts. These over paid libs need to do the same thing.
How was Comrade Bernie able to pay for his “education”?
The bottom line.
Free speech is a joke at most colleges nowadays. Just wait until it’s a wholly owned subsidiary of Uncle Sam.
Forget about Christian or conservative leaning universities like Grove City, Wheaton, Liberty, etc. They will be totally shut down.

Free College - worth exactly what you pay for it.
What is stopping Bernie from making college free (tax payer subsidized) in Vermont?
Maybe, in the northern states, the next time it snows, we should go door to door asking residents if they’d support a state program that provides free snow shoveling of driveways.
When they excitedly acknowledge their support, hand them a shovel and direct them to another neighborhood to get started.
Quite simply, not everybody has a need to go to college. That diploma has become a sort of union card to get into certain professions, but by artificially pumping up the “qualifications” as to the fitness to hold a position and perform the duties and responsibilities of many jobs, professions even, does NOT require a college degree.
Four years spent getting the chops on the job often places the job applicant in a better position to carry out the performance parameters necessary to do a credible discharge of the duties and obligations of the job, than all the academic honors that may be earned by becoming a professional student until some time in the late 20’s.
And many of the “degrees” granted are not worth squat in ANY job market.
If there is an industry to be nationalized and rationed, I’d do it with higher education over healthcare...
Actually, pay and teaching should be much more strongly linked. Teaching is incredibly undervalued within most universities, because teaching doesn’t bring in money or what passes for stature.
Agree entirely with this, but am concerned that the government would then define (to an even greater degree) what is taught as ‘dogma’ within higher education.
I think a much better solution is to push online learning as a strong and cheaper alternative to bricks and mortar higher education. Most university education is self-teaching/self-learning anyway. If we combine this approach with standardized post-education testing to determine competency, college/university costs will come down in a very big hurry.
Hey, it is adored by all those stupid college students, cowering in their safe spaces.
I think Bernie is using Venezuela as the role model for his administration should he (G-d forbid) be elected. If America thought 0bama is bad, just wait for Bernie.
The way to do that is to stop giving government "research grants" for stupid stuff.
