Shows how unaware I am ... I didn’t know that 12 people have walked on the moon.

A few even DROVE on the moon. C’mon. It was only one of the single greatest feats in the history of the human race... Google it sometime.

Isn’t it eighteen and twelve?
There was only one person left up there when then landing craft separated.

I guess my curiosity about those that visited and walked on the Moon stopped with the first moonwalk. My bad.
I can somewhat justify my ignorance by the fact that after the initial moonwalk, there wasn’t a whole lot of publicity about other moon landings.

Thee of the Apollo missions went to the moon but did not land (8, 10 and 13). Three astronauts went to the moon on two missions.

Isnât it eighteen and twelve? There was only one person left up there when then landing craft separated.Apollo 8, 10 and 13 didn't land at all, so that would be 9 more who went and didn't walk. So 9 and 18 should be 27 who made the trip total, but 3 astronauts made the trip twice, making the total 24.

Great men deserve a salute.
I would have soiled my undies on the launch pad.
RIP.

27 to the moon, 12 walked? Apollos 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, & 17. Credit 13 b/c they slingshotted around the moon in their crippled craft, but didn’t land. 8 made 10 lunar orbits, 10 flew the LEM to 50k feet above the lunar surface. 11, 12, 14-17 landed.

Ah, gotcha! Good math on your part, bad on me. I double counted three individuals.
