Training at Ft. Leonard Wood is lots easier than say at Ft. Benning. I can not fathom a woman thinking that she would have the physical strength and stamina to be a combat engineer, though.
Having done Basic training at Leonard Wood, I would disagree. but as to the rest of your comment, I agree.
I was at Fort Leonard Wood in 2004-2005, I hated it, so damn boring and dull it was.
Been to Benning and I would have to say that FLW has worse weather. Rain and mud you would not believe, hot as Benning in the summer and cold nasty in the winter.
Did basic and AIT there about 46 years ago and then spent a lot of time there in the last ten years. I love Missouri, but FLW is not my preferred spot.

I’m not sure Basic would be any easier but AIT probably is. I did OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at Benning in the mid-80’s. The difference between Basic and AIT for us was that we were allowed to wear soft caps in the Company area in AIT. For Basic we always had to wear helmet liners. For 16 weeks we had the same barracks, same Drill Sgts, same speed marching to all the rifle ranges instead of Cattle Cars and I was wishing I’d gone in to Supply instead of Infantry.
It’s even easier at Ft “Relaxin” Jackson
