The way i read Jim’s post was that Cruz was his first choice due to Cruz support for the Constitution but he would gladly support Trump if he was the nominee.

He likes both. But he *prefers* Cruz over Trump.

Jim has repeatedly said that he is voting for Ted Cruz.

He has also said that he would vote for Trump if he were the nominee.

That is the kind of position he has held in previous elections too; vote for the real conservative in the primary, but support the nominee in the general.
