Bush asks audience to 'please clap'

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush had to ask his audience to clap during a speech at a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

Bush had just finished talking about how he would protect the country as commander in chief, The New York Times reported.

"I think the next president needs to be a lot quieter, but send a signal that we're prepared to act in the national security interests of this country to get back in business of creating a more peaceful world," he said. The audience responded with silence.

"Please clap," Bush then said, in a quieter tone, and the crowd laughed and obliged.

I don’t believe in kicking a man when he’s down, but this story reflects not only on Bush himself, but on the D.C. Political Establishment. This is what I have to say to the Establishment:

Kinda feel sorry for him but not sorry enough to not be happy about him being so far away from success. Especially since the RNC establishment has pushed the pinhead so hard.

Roobio is the establishment, not Bush. Bush is a relic of a bygone era. Roobio is the future of the establishment.

What the heck is the campaign thinking? It seems that every rally I go to, the campaign has strategically placed individuals at the right locations to yell “right on!’ at the right time and to make sure that clapping starts right on cue.....Was Bush there by himself? Does he not have a campaign left? This might be a clue.....

He’s asking the people he paid to be there to clap?

And next Donald walks in and says You are all fired! Get this man some employees that will know when to clap. Better yet, get this man a clapper!

Bush asks audience to 'please clap'

Biden asks Chuck to please stand up.

I don't guess either happened. Truth is funnier than fiction.

How embarrassing. This should indicate to him that it’s time to pack up and go home.
