Hope he’s really dropping out. I’d hate for Ted Cruz to run around destroying what votes he has.

I wish him well. Now the rest of the bottom enders need to do the same thing.

I expected better from Rand Paul’s campaign. The 100 ton gorilla in the room is that the FederalReserve/banking in the US are destroying the US economy. It’s his dad’s big issue. I’m astounded that Rand didn’t make that a central theme of his campaign.

Agreed. And there lies the purpose of Iowa. Identify those that can not muster enough of a campaign to gain the first two to three delegates.

Are Paul and Huckabee, the only two that have suspended their campaign since Iowa?

Rand should have picked up where his dad left off in 2012. Ron Paul was an interesting character back then, but he got too old. When Rand showed up, I was glad. But no message ever materialized. And when he talked, I was distracted by that tangle of Harpo Marx curls on his head.

Those are the only two that I have heard as having suspended.

Rand Paul was probably the most intelligent person in both parties seeking the Presidency. Sadly he was a bit too arcane and not adept at retail politics. No doubt if he had emphasized his central message that the combination of porous American borders and debilitating foreign entanglements that actually lessen American security was catastrophic policy that must end, he would have done much better. The irony is that his father Ron Paul was labeled a “ neo isolationist:. However if one reads Congressman Paul’s speeches opposing the Iraq invasion he predicted with uncanny accuracy the dire results this invasion would have on the region, the American economy, American politics and its futility. Senator Paul himself was too afraid to be labeled an isolationist. Too bad he couldn’t exploit his father’s legacy and help the American people to at least examine those serious positions. His failed candidacy is a lost opportunity to educate and perhaps move the body politic.

If Paul is dropping out and he has a delegate, anyone who doesn’t have a delegate and isn’t polling well in NH or SC should also drop out.

Paging Kasich, Bush, Santorum, Fiorina, Christie and Carson ... please pick up the white phone in the lobby. Reality is calling.

Yes. My number one choice is out but there's no point in going on when he doesn't have the money to compete.

Rand Paul's Senate re-bid comes up in 2016, and the Democrats are probably going to work hard to take his seat. His father did better in Iowa four years ago. He is not in the top three positions in New Hampshire polls, unlike Ron Paul. He lost the libertarian base by abandoning his father's isolationism, and did not pick up a significant number of mainstream conservatives in so doing. Cruz picked up many of the libertarian voters by stressing his free market credentials, e.g. opposing ethanol subsidies. Free market capitalism is the libertarian position that most appeals to conservatives.

His endorsing McConnell ultimately did him in!

How in God's green earth, could Rand supporters in KY, ever look at him as "their guy" with his arm around Mitch!

It did the same to Santorum in PA when he climbed on stage with W, Rove and Spector! Santorum's PA supporters would never again trust him not to slip the knife in their back

i want Kasich, Christie, Fiorina (not Jeb!) to hang around as,long as possible. That way they keep splitting the GOPe vote, support and money.. Otherwise it isTrump and Cruz splitting the outside vote allowing Rubio to win the nomination.

This should help Cruz in NH. Last time, Ron Paul got 23% of the vote in the NH primary, and Cruz has been courting the Paul voters in that state and elsewhere for a long time.
